((Ahgfdfhghgf I meant the one side eyeing him bUT I'LL STOP BUGGING YOU SORRY))
"Suspiciously good looking." Reeha supplied, munching on the strawberry and pulling out a notebook. She didn't look down at the questions written in it, just grabbed a pen off of the table and prepared to write. "Where were you born? When were you born? Do you have a birth certificate, and can I see a copy of it? Is that your real haircolor or is it dyed? Do you prefer American soda or Japanese, or other? If your house caught on fire what would you save first, or go back in for?"
Osora sighed, shooting him a look that was slightly apologetic as she released his hand and took the food to pass it out. If one was paying attention, they would notice the way her shoulders tensed just slihtly at the mention of a house being on fire, just the fire in general.

(OH SHOOT IM SORRY PRETEND I DID ALL THAT DO YOU WANT ME TO FIX IT?! It was my fault sorry. I’m a bit like, ditsy and awful at reading cues)
Tali blinked in shock and laughed, humming as he leaned back. “Oh. Suspiciously handsome. I was worried I had something in my teeth.” He chuckled.
“I was born in Korea, raised there until maybe five, eight? I can’t remember that, moved to Japan, lived there until eighteen, then moved on my own to America. I have no birth certificate, I was raised in a Japanese Shrine, I was abandoned at birth. This is close to my real hair color it’s… complicated. I like American and Japanese sodas equally. And I would save… whoever else is with me.”
((No don't worry! I'm exactly the same half the time. And anyway, you changed it once, it's fine dw!))
Reeha wrote down particular answers, adding bits that looked like taking notes. Others she skipped completely, as though fully assured that she could remember the answers. "No birth certificate. Sus. Good answer on the fire one, though you could very well be sucking up. Osora prefers Japanese sodas-"
"Actually, you know that's not true. I'm a fan of the seasonal flavors the Mountain Dew company puts out." Osora corrected, handing Tali his food and silver wear as she passed him to hop up onto the counter closest to him, plucking a shrimp out of the takeout box with her fingers to eat it.
Reeha ignored her. "And a Shrine? Fuck, which one?" She asked, the serious and suspicious look on her face switching to one of intent curiosity. The others all seemed used to her fast paced questions and switching of topics. The topic one was something they all did, and they knew the reasons behind her questions, too.

“No I’m not. I actually would do that. I’m no suck up.” He chuckled and leaned back, listening carefully. “Mm Mountain Dew is pretty good.” He admitted, grinning at Toki. He took his food and opened it up, smiling at the smell. Curry… he loved it.
“Oh. It was by the big forest one in Kumamoto. It was small. They called it ‘Earth’ or something.” He murmured, frowning. “I can’t remember now.”
Reeha snapped a few times before rubbing her fingers together, and then shaking her hand. "I know the one you're talking about. I just can't remember the name for the life of me. Goddammit." She made a face, adjusting her hijab as she muttered to herself. She drew Osora's grandmother into a discussion about the Shrines in that area, trying to trigger the connection needed to remember the name.
"Too much in her head." Osora explained, nudging Tali with her foot and pointing to the fridge in the corner of the kitchen with her chopsticks. "There should be a couple sodas in there, and more of varying kinds. Mind grabbing me one of the blueberry ramunes?"
group
Tali chuckled lightly, leaning against the counter and glancing up at Toki when she spoke. He blinked and nodded gently. “Of course.”
The skin-stealer carefully opened the fridge and looked around for the wanted drink. He grabbed her blueberry ramune but didn’t grab anything for himself, feeling like an outsider.
“Here, Toki.”
"I'm not accepting that until you grab something for yourself." Osora stated, raising an eyebrow at him as she leaned forward slightly, scooping a bite of rice and curry into her mouth.
"Yes, please, make yourself at home." Koharu insisted, motioning to the fridge and then around the apartment in a vague gesture. "What's ours is yours, even if these grumpy birds continue to be grumpy birds." She shot a look at the table with Osora's grandmother and Reeha, before bustling past Maki, who was on his phone, to offer a strawberry to Tali. "Here."
group
He groaned softly but reached into the fridge to grab a random soda for himself. “I don’t want to be a burden on you guys… please, don’t worry too much about me. I’m going to find an apartment to rent out so I’m not bothering you all.” He replied politely, bowing his head respectfully.
When he was offered the strawberry he took it hesitantly, smiling as he lifted it to his lips. “Thank you so much.”
Osora tossed a wadded up rag at him, once the strawberry was gone, shaking her head. "You're no burden. You're a guest to some and a friend to others, Tali. As long as you don't use up all the hot water while in the shower, you're fine."
Osora's grandmother muttered something in rapid paced Japanese, nodding in agreement. "You use all the hot water, and I will push you out of the window. Onto the sidewalk." Maki rolled his eyes, muffling laughter behind a fist pressed to his mouth.
group
Tali shook his head and held out his hands, dodging the rag. “I won’t use the hot water. I take cold showers. They’re much more refreshing.” He admitted, laughing nervously. They also helped his sore muscles after shifting.
Tali made his way carefully back over to Toki, handing her her drink and continuing on his curry.
Osora pressed her leg against his arm, careful not to knock his utensils away, keeping it there as though just to be in contact with him. She tended to avoid most contact, because people were usually apalled by her scars, but with someone she felt comfortable with, she was fairly touchy in casual ways. "Thanks." She said, popping the marble out of the bottle with ease and taking a swig.
"You never answered how you met." Osora's grandmother pointed out, looking between the two of them with less suspicion than earlier. Her English was just slightly choppy at times, due to having more experience speaking Japanese.

He smiled up at her, playfully tapping her leg before he continued to eat, purring at the taste of his curry. He had missed good curry. America only had bad rip off brands and restaurants too westernized to be correct. Unfortunately for him, though, he actually really loved America.
Tali glanced up when the grandmother spoke, blushing lightly. “I ran into her. Quite literally.” He murmured. “I accidentally knocked her over.”

"He's just lucky I have good balance." Osora chimed in, a shrimp hanging halfway out her mouth as she looked up. "Or that all could have gone very differently."
"You're dating a guy who almost made you eat pavement?" Reeha asked, raising an eyebrow at them as she stirred her curry into her rice. "I can't tell if that's more meet-cute or meet-cement."
group
Tali flushed a dark shade of pink, all other words that had been spoken disappearing. ’Dating a guy…’ Were they dating? He wasn’t sure. He wanted to be dating but what if she didn’t want to be. He was confused and a little flustered.
“H-hey, wait! We just met today… we-we’re not dating… yet.”
"Yet." Osora agreed, looking back down at her food to continue eating, and completely ignoring Reeha's questioning and piercing look thrown her way. She picked up a tempura shrimp from one of her boxes, poking Tali's cheek with it to get his attention, not speaking, but just offering.
"Wouldn't they be a cute couple though?" Maki asked, drawing attention away from them for a moment. Koharu readily agreed, nodding enthusiastically and talking happily about date ideas and things along the same lines.
group
Tali blinked and turned his head, looking up at her first and the shrimp before he opened his mouth and took it from her. He thanked her softly and smiled brightly. “Wanna try some of my curry?” He asked, bringing up his box and utensil, offering her some from his utensil as well.
Tali secretly listened in on the conversations, blushing lightly. Dating Toki… he’d love to.
“Sure.” Osora leaned down, stealing the rice and curry off the chopsticks. She was silent as she chewed and swallowed, before nodding. “Reminds me of hanging out there after school. That used to be my go-to curry. I figured if it was still the same, you’d like it.” She tilted her head, still not sitting up yet. “Tastes like there’s a bit more soy sauce than he used to add.” She decided, the corner of her mouth quirking up just barely, in that little ‘smile’.
group
He laughed softly, resting his chin on her thigh as he looked up at her. “You’ve had it that much?” He asked softly, tilting his head like a little puppy. “I haven’t had actual, good curry in so long. This stuff is soo good.” He groaned, turning his head so his cheek rested against her leg, bringing more of the curry and rice to his mouth to eat. “You’re very comfortable. This is very nice.”
She raised an eyebrow at him as he rested his chin on her leg, the eyebrow climbing higher as he pressed his cheek to her thigh. “Almost every day. That was our hangout spot, that and here. The whole group would pitch in money for anyone who couldn’t afford that day or week, or whatever. Our favorite place, and the curry was only half of it.” She straightened a bit, eating another shrimp. “I wasn’t aware I was comfy. You’d figure muscle would make me less comfy.”
group
(Ok just for reference I forgot to say that he’s sitting down/on his knees xD he didn’t just like, bend down and place his chin on her XD)
“Mm, I’ve never had anyone to do that with. Of course I’ve had dates but they never wanted me as a person. Just… y’know. That’s one bad thing about being so handsome.” He sighed dramatically, grinning. “Any lap or thigh is comfortable. I’ll let you lay in mine some day.” He winked.
((Lmao I may have been a teeny bit confused))
“You’ll have to come out with us sometime. Ren and King would love you.” She said, resisting the odd urge to run her fingers through his hair. “Good to know I’m not special.” She quipped, amusement lacing her tone as she pretended to consider the offer. “You know, that might actually be nice. Like a warm pillow, though not as fluffy.”
group
(Yyeeeaahh sorry about that)
He smiled gently, leaning against her more. “If I can come, then I’d love that.” He murmured, smiling warmly. He felt wholesomely wanted for the first time in his life.
“H-hey!! You’re special to me!” He said before he could stop himself. He clapped a hand over his mouth and blushed. “A-Ah I’m sorry. I’m a mess.”
Osora blinked, before letting out a sound incredibly close to a laugh. “Don’t worry, I think it’s kind of cute.” She said, gazing softly at him before the silence in the kitchen drew her attention.
Maki has his phone up, recording or taking a picture or both, while everyone looked decently shocked.
“Holy fuck.” Reeha said, the sentiment echoed in Japanese by Osora’s grandmother. “Dude, was that a laugh? That was definitely not an Osora laugh, for sure.”
group
Tali’s face darkened into a deeper shade of red. He groaned and hid his face in his hand, too embarrassed to really do anything else.
“He- hey guys.” He stuttered, groaning and shifting nervously. He kept his head resting against her leg, not wanting to move. Toki was comfortable.
“That’s adorable.” Maki said, his surprised look turning into a grin. He lowered his phone enough to wink at his sister, who continued eating nonchalantly.
“So cute!” Koharu agreed, smiling at the both of them before turning to her son. “Send me a few of the pictures.” Osora closed her eyes briefly, shaking her head at patting Tali’s head sympathetically.
group
He pouted, looking up as he was patted. “What is up with your family and pictures of me?” He asked teasingly, nudging her with his elbow and laughing gently.
“And it seems to me they all agree that we’d make a cute couple. Come on, one date, please?”
“My family is incredibly picture oriented. We’ve got photo albums everywhere.” Osora said, her hand lingering on his head for a moment. When he asked her out again, she sighed softly, thinking it over. “Fine. You’ve got enough of my family down, I’ll go on a date with you.”
group
“That explains it then.” He said with a laugh, uncovering his face and continuing to eat. He liked the warmth of her hand upon his head. A gentle sigh left his lips, that bright smile frowning into something larger as she agreed. “Oh hell yes!! Thank you Toki!” He looked like an excited little kid.
