Lucien frowned a little. "Aki? What is it, exactly?" He asked, looking at Aki, then at the wall.
It's not in the Cards (O/O)
He winced and slowly pulled back. "I don't know… But I don't like it…" He mutters, his eyes kept firmly on the wall. "There's magic keeping it shut… but the feeling behind it is violent… angry…" He mutters.
"Should I have it broken down? The wall?" Lucien asked. "Or…? You're the magic expert, not me."
"No… Even with brute force it wouldn't open…" He mutters quietly, tracing the wall carefully. He whispers a soft incantation and hears a soft click. The door opens, releasing a whoosh of hot, pungent air, and a dark spiraling staircase.
Lucien's eyes widened a little, and he frowned. "I…have never seen of or heard of this." he said slowly. "Do you know what it is? And is it safe?"
Aki shook his head. "I'm not sure… But I have a feeling there's more to this that…" He sighed before looking at Lucien. "It could be dangerous…I'll need to get a few things." He shuts the door again, locking it.
Lucien nodded. "Okay." he frowned again. "Should I get anything? Anyone? Because I…would like to come with you, if that's alright." he looked over at Aki.
Aki shook his head. "No there's so much magic, and it's not good." He sighed softly before shaking his head. "Let's go… I need to go get some things." He sighed before shaking his head.
Lucien raised his eyebrows. "No to me coming with you, or no to getting people or things?" he asked, then nodded. "Alright." he replied, heading towards the door out of the room.
"You… you can come if you want to… But no other people." He mutters softly before sighing. He follows after the other before heading to his room. He grabbed a few necessary's before sighing quietly.
Lucien nodded. "I…alright." he decided to simply wait for Aki, leaning against the wall and thinking, wondering what exactly Aki had found.
Aki fixes his his bag before glancing at the other. "Ready…" He mutters softly before taking a deep breath.
Lucien nodded. "I'll stick with you, but let me know if you need me to leave." He said softly.
Aki nods before he walks back to the hallways, feeling the anger behind the wall before opening it again. He took a trembling breath before lighting a fire in his palm.
Lucien stayed near him, eyes flickering around the room anxiously. He looked at Aki, and wondered what exactly was going on here.
"Careful… The stairs are steep…" he mutters quietly as he begins to go down them. He didn't like this at all.
Lucien nodded, following Aki quietly. "Okay." he looked around, frowning. He had never heard of something like this in the castle.
Aki follows the stairs for what seems to be an eternity before they make it to the black abyss of a hallway, the light in Aki's palm making shadows swirl and recoil back.
Lucien was silent as they walked, eyes tracing over everything. He turned and looked back, the door they had come through merely a prick of light in his vision. He turned back around.
He took a trembling breath and shaking his head he looked down before shaking his head. "This place… What is it…?" He whispers quietly. He comes to the end of the hall and a giant oak door stood in front of them.
Lucien looked at Aki. "I don't know what this is. If that question was directed at me, anyway. I…I've never even heard of this place." And I know every inch of this palace…or at least I thought I did.
He nods before looking at the door. He reaches forward, his hands gently touching the cool oak. He wanted to know what was behind it. He yelped when there was a searing in his hands, and he pulled away when he saw ice enveloping his hand. It disappeared though once he pulled his hand away, melting slowly.
Lucien frowned, and looked closely at the door. "What…?" he trailed off, taking a step forward almost unconsciously, as he examined it curiously.
Aki shivered before slowly touching the door again. This time ice didn't wrap around his fingers. He pushed it open, surprised at how easily it swung open.
Lucien was quiet, standing behind him and following him. He sighed.
A flurry of voices screamed at him, enveloping his vision. After a moment it cleared and he swallowed dryly. He didn't say anything just pushed forward into a large, circular room. His eyes widened at the metal cots, various doctors tools, cells, the like. He hated this. He didn't want to look anywhere but the ceiling. The crisp and metallic odor of freshly bled blood made him want to vomit.
Lucien frowned, throat going dry. "What is this place?" He whispered, looking around. I didn't know…why is this here? What's going on?
"I- I don't know." He whispers before walking towards one of the doctors trays, grabbing a journal, gulping softly. He scanned through the notes. "That's not possible… These are dated for the future…" He whispers.
Lucien frowned, looking at the journals over Aki's shoulder. "I don't understand…" He said softly.
"They're dated for… in a few weeks… Oh God…" He stares at the documents, the notes of an illness. "I don't know what's going on but we have to stop it." He whispers.
