Lucien frowned a little. "Is there any names? Any…?" he trailed off, swallowing hard.
It's not in the Cards (O/O)
He nods sharply before placing the book in his bag. "We need to get out of here. This doesn't feel right." He whispers.
Lucien nodded, backing away towards the door. "Okay." he replied softly.
Aki waits for him to go first before following after back into the hallways of the palace. He shuts the door behind himself and falls to the floor.
Lucien crouched beside him worriedly. "Aki? Are you okay?" he asked, worried. He put a hand on the smaller man's shoulder.
Aki was breathing heavily, but he appeared fine. He shook his head and leaned into his hands, visibly shaking. "Those names… They were close friends of my masters… Countless children…" A lump grew in his throat. "We… We need to look at the notes and start working on a cure." He stood, determination in his eyes.
Lucien gently put an arm around the shaking man's shoulders, rubbing his shoulder gently. "Okay. Okay." he replied softly. "Do you have any names or leads on anything else? We can take the notebooks to the physicians here in the palace, and make this their top priority."
"Yes… We need to take this to a physician. As for what to do and leads, I need to look at the cards again. Maybe they can give me more insight. I'll contact my master as well, let him know what's happening." He says quietly.
Lucien nodded. "Alright." He still had his arm around Aki's shoulders in what he hoped was comforting.
Aki leaned into his touch for a moment before carefully taking a deep breath. He touched his side pocket and felt the deck heavily weigh into his hand.
Lucien watched him carefully, worried. Worried about Aki, worried about what they had found. Work about his father, too.
Aki knew he had a lot to do. He had a lot of work. He needed to figure out a cure. He needed to find the king's attempted assassin. Maybe they were linked. He had to do something.
Lucien took a deep breath. "Aki? The notebook…how can the dates be from the future?" He asked softly.
"I think… I think that my master was right." He whispers. "Magic. From times before and after our time. It's coming back in a daunting reality." He mutters. "There is magic within these walls, Prince Lucien… That… That must have been made when the sickness hit." He glanced up at Lucien in fear.
Lucien frowned a little. "I don't think I understand." he said slowly, looking at Aki in confusion. "I'm sorry."
He took a deep breath. "N-no it's alright… It just means what we just saw was the future before it actually happened. We need to start working on a cure and I need to find the assassin… Can you handle things here?"
Lucien nodded. "Oh. Yeah, yeah. What do you need me to do?" He took a deep breath.
"Gather your best medical staff, have them meet me in the library. As well as the king. But keep everything quiet. We don't need all out panic. That will only make things worse."
Lucien nodded, and stood, holding out a hand to help Aki up. "Dad might not be able to come, but I'll bring an advisor to take his place if necessary."
Aki managed to stand with Lucien's assistance. "Thank you. Tell him it's urgent. I need him here. I need my master as well." He took a deep breath and nodded to himself.
Lucien nodded. "I don't know how to help with your master, but I'll do my best to assemble everyone needed. I'll be there too." He gave a small smile.
"I can get ahold of my master. Thank you, Lucien." He says softly, running a hand through his hair. There was panic in his eyes but he shoved away those feelings.
Lucien nodded. He put his hands on Aki's shoulders gently, trying to reassure him. "Hey. It'll be okay. I promise. You don't have to do everything."
Aki glanced at the other and smiled weakly. "Thanks." He mutters before sighing deeply. He looked rather sad, and worry and terrified and… god there were so many emotions running through him. He was so scared.
Lucien smiled a little. "You're welcome." he wasn't sure how to help Aki fell less…worried and scared.
Aki nods. "I best be off. Please have them in as soon as possible." He bows before hurrying off.
Lucien nodded, and went to find the people that Aki had wanted him to get.
Aki hurried to the library, gathering ant Intel he could find and then contacting his master. He knew his master was probably busy, but it was an emergency. "Aki… I know that look on your face. Something is wrong isn't it?" Zephyr asks softly.
Lucien spoke to the physicians first, then everyone else, gathering them as quickly as he could. He was frowning a little as he walked.
"I need you here." he withdraws the notebook. "The king was almost assassinated. And I just found a journal with names and a disease that wipesnout half of the kingdom. Please tell me you can come back." Zephyr nods. "I'll be there soon."
