Lot saw Cat's name on the doc and could feel the bouncing leg. They raised an eyebrow and glanced at Cat before quickly looking back down and typed on the doc in an open line 'hey. you good?'

'I'm fine just tired' She typed smiling slightly. She put down the phone for a second.
'ok, just checking' Lot typed back before tapping their keyboard and adding on, 'sorry. your legs distracting me a little. think we should add dumb and dumber to the doc?'
'sorry habit and probably. they prob wont add anything though' She typed. She also added the link to the video and then some notes on the video. The notes where rushed with a few mistakes but she went back and fixed them.
'its fine ill add them on' Lot typed making sure Cat had time to read before deleting the conversation entirely and adding April and Jeff to the document. They tapped on their keyboard checking the time once more.
Cat finished up her notes. Neither April or Jeff looked at their emails. Whent the bell rang Cat stood up. Picking up her bag.
Lotus closed their laptop and slipped it back into their bag. They knew very well neither April or Jeff checked the email or the doc. They let out a breath and slung the messenger bag over their shoulder and started out of the classroom.
right after Lotus was gone April and Jeff started complaining about her to Cat. She just nodded and made up an excuse to quickly leave. She went straight to her next class.
Lot headed to their second period which was their advanced math class. They were looking forward to having a class where they can just relax and do their work.

Cat walked into her next class. Sitting in the back with a few more of her ‘friends’. She opened her laptop and went on the doc. The last school she went to was slightly more advanced so she learned everything already.
(That's fine. Is she in math or some other class?)
(She’s in a different math class)
(Okay. Want to skip ahead then?)
(Sure. They can have the same lunch)
(Sure. You want to start or you want me to?)
(Can you I’m probably going to be off until later tho)

Lotus stepped into the lunch and sat down in one of the back corner tables by themselves. They opened up their messenger bag and pulled out the lunch they had packed earlier that morning since going through the line had always been too much of a hassle. They wouldn't be in the cafeteria for long heading up to the computer lab as soon as they could.
Cat smiled as she walked into the lunch room. She looked around. She saw April and Jeff but they definitely didn’t notice her. She saw Lotus and walked over to her. What’s one day of not sitting with her annoying “friends”.
Lot glanced up to see Cat walking towards them. Fuck They focused hard on their sandwich trying to blend into the shadows while shoving their hand that still had traces of stars into their pocket. They did not need this right now.
“Hey can I sit here? I prefer it over tweedledee and tweedledum right now,” she joked smiling softly.
Lot cracked a slight smile at the nicknames used and glanced up. They never met Cat's eyes, but Cat could clearly see their eyes. They couldn't help it, Cat was wearing down their defenses so easily, "Sure. Don't blame you either."
Cat smiled and sat down next to her. “Thanks.” She found the lack of eye contact unsettling but she’s seen worse. She saw the girls eyes and bit her lip slightly. It’s not like she hadn’t seen matching before. Green and brown eyes aren’t that rare but a little part of her was hopeful. Then again did she even want a soulmate. It would probably ruin ever
Lot went back to looking at their sandwich and figuring Cat was unsettled by them. Most people were anyways. They continued to eat silently keeping their one hand in their pocket. They figured silent company was enough.
Cat left her bag on the chair and got up to wait in line. She got a slice of pizza and sat back down. She picked up the pizza and hit it against the plate. It was hard as a rock. “Don’t you just love school lunch?” She joked taking a bite.
"No," Lot responded holding up their sandwich. They waved it a little before taking a bite of it, "That's why I bring my own food from home."
“I wish I could but I don’t have time,” she said taking another bite. Even if she did have time she was pretty sure there was no food to take. Not that she was really allowed in the kitchen to begin with.
"Busy life?" Lotus asked as they continued to eat. They didn't have that much time either, but they would gladly sacrifice time out of their day if it means they didn't have to eat the school's shit.
“Yep,” she said not giving anymore details. She continued to eat her pizza. She didn’t eat that much. She had a shift at the restaurant after school and they usually give her something during her break.
Lot finished up their food and put their bag back into their messenger back. They stood up and gave a slight wave to Cat with their unmarked hand, "Bye."
