“See ya,” she said waving with her marked hand. The stars clearly visible. She finished up her food and stood up as well.
"Just becuase we're soulmates, doesn't mean I like you" (O/O) (Closed)
(Just realized I mentioned her having a laptop after I said she doesn’t. I’m a little dumb and pretty sleep deprived. Imma just change that to phone lol)
Lot felt the blood drain from their face and quickly turned away and towards the computer lab. That, no. Cat couldn't be. That just gave Lot more of reason to avoid her than they had earlier.
Cat noticed that she looked scared. She threw away her trash and followed Lot. Keeping a distance between them pretending to at She just so happened to be walking the same way.
Lot noticed Cat following them, kind of. They took a deep breath and continued walking like nothing was wrong. They made it to the computer lab and stepped in heading towards the back corner area.
Cat walked into the computer lab as well. Sitting a few computers down from Lotus. Turning on the computer.
Lotus glanced over at Cat and turned on the computer with their non-marked hand. They pulled their sleeve over the marked one in hopes that would be enough to hide it. They took a breath and plugged int the USB and opened up their email.
Cat logged into the computer and started doing some of her class assignments. She still pretended not to really notice Lotus. She got distracted and started playing some games.
Lot glanced over once more to check on Cat. They were glad to see her distracted and kept working on their commission. They had gotten it close to done and were checking the browser view on the website they were making. Everything worked fine so at this point, they were just polishing up.
(Notebook keeps glitching for me)
Cat glanced over at Lotus after loosing the game. “What are you doing?” She finally asked. They only had a few minutes left of lunch.
(Oof that's no fun.)
"Just a project," Lotus responded trying harder to cover their hand. They took a deep breath and started closing out of the different windows making sure everything was saved.
Cat nodded. “Is it for school? Because I’ve been trying to figure out what classes this school has. I need to pick electives for next semester,” she says closing her tabs as well.
"It's more for fun," Lot responded unplugging their flash drive. They attached it back to their bag and stood up pushing the chair in, "Though if your looking for programming classes this school doesn't have the best."
Cat nodded. “Course they don’t. I heard arts pretty bad too,” she said. Her hand with drawing in it silently tapped the table. “Easy A kind of class though.”
Lot saw the hand and immediately worried about their own. They took a deep breath and started to make their way out of the lab, "Well lunch gets out soon, so I'll be going now."
“Ok see you Sunday?” She asked standing up as well. Her hand still visible but finally still.
Lot shoved their hand further into their pocket. They nodded along, "Um. Yeah. Saturday. Bye."
Cat nodded and waved. She left still wondering why Lotus seemed nervous around. Maybe she knows something or is just a nervous person. Either way, Cat was determined to find out.
Lot continued their way to class being extra careful to not bump into anyone. At least they were going to programming a class that meant they would be alone and able to relax. They blinked a few times as the lights seemed to get brighter. Not now, not here
Cat didn't mean to follow her. It just turns out they actually were heading the same way this time. She kept an eye on the other girl. Not sure if she should try to talk to her again.
Lot blinked rapidly as suddenly a wave of sound rolled over them. They lifted their hands up to their ears not caring anymore about hiding the stars as they walked faster to class. The teacher had a place they could hide away until this overload was done and through with. They were close enough to the classroom anyway.
Cat saw her and walked faster to catch Up. ”lotus are you ok?” she asked going to comfort her by placing a hand on her shoulder.
Lotus pulled themselves away and looked to Cat harshly. They had no concept of what was loud and what wasn't so they just shouted, "Don't touch me!"
Everyone in the hall was now looking at the pair having heard Lot shout. Lotus glanced around and turned away walking faster trying to pretend nothing had happened. They needed to get to class. That was their only goal at the moment.
Cat froze for a moment. Then she glared at some of the people that were looking at them weird before following Lotus.
Lotus finally made it to their classroom and was holding themselves tight. The teacher noticed and said nothing as Lotus went to a back area that was secluded from the rest of the classroom. They said nothing as the leaned against the wall before making their way down sitting on the ground. They pulled their knees in and closed their eyes, resting their forehead on their kneecaps. You're fine. You're safe. Just. Calm. Down.
Cat quietly entered the classroom. She told herself it was just to check if she was ok but she might have seen the stars on Lotus’ hand. Was that why she freaked out?
The teacher walked up to Cat not quite recognizing her, "Are you here looking for someone?"
”I saw Lotus come in here and I wanted to make sure she was ok, ” she said looking over at where Lotus was sitting.
"She's right back there," the teacher gestured to where Lot was. Lot hadn't moved at all or shown any signs that made it clear that they knew Cat was there. Their hand with stars was visible as it was holding their legs close to their chest.
Cat looked at Lotus’s hand and then her own. Realizing they were identical. She walked over and crouched down next to her.
