Claire looked between Hina and Jemi. She knew that Hina was nervous and probably still upset about earlier. Claire listened to Ms. Dobbins teach her lesson, her mind still lost in thought.

As class continued Hina started to calm down

Claire tapped Hina on her shoulder. "You okay?"

She nods slowly "I'm fine. promise"

Claire looked Hina into her eyes. "Alright, if you say so."

She smiled softly then the bell rings

Claire got up and packed her things. She had gym next and wasn't looking forward to it. Well, she never was. Jemi appeared next to her. "So who's the new kid?"
"Oh her name's Hina. She's pretty cool."
"Oh cool. I'm gonna say hi, then." Before Claire could do anything, Jemi had walked up to Hina and initiated conversation.

Hina seemed nervous "u-uhhh…"

Claire ran over. "Umm Hina! This is Jemi. I was telling you about her and Jemi, Hina. Now that we're all introduced, let's get to class. The bell rings soon."

Hina grabs her arm and hides behind her "…"

They both left the classroom. "Sorry about that. Jemi can be a little forward sometimes… Can I walk you to class? I have gym."

"I have a…a free period…"

Claire looked at her. "Okay, which classroom?" she said heading down a small hallway.

"Science…" she Was starting to calm down a bit. "She probably thinks I'm weird…"

"Oh! That's right here, then." She led Hina down the hallway and took a left arriving at the classroom. "If you need anything, come find me. I-" Then she had an idea. "Oh hold on, do you have a phone?"

"Yeah…But I use it for Digital Art." She looked confused.

Claire laughed. "I'll give you my phone number. You can just text me between classes…or during class if you don't get caught. Also you're gonna have to show me your art, later. Anyway see ya! Gotta get to- ew- gym."

"See ya!" She waved with a bright smile on her face.

Claire took off towards the gym. She was late, but honestly it didn't matter to her, especially since those minutes were spent with Hina.

Hina was drawing when she decided to message Claire.
I have no idea what to do… :(

Claire was in the locker room when she felt her phone buzzed. She smiled when she saw it was Hina.
Well the free period is supposed to be used for studying but most people just do whatever.

I have nothing to study…

Well yeah, It's only your first week, just do whatever.

Well I normally have a book to read. You could go to the library if you got a pass. Or you could draw. It's a free period for a reason

It's….gym. she typed. She knew that coach didn't allow phones out so she put hers away just after typing. Anyway gotta go coach almost caught me
