And one of my best friends (who is actually on here once in a while) is the 9th. And I have another friend who's the 2ndโฆ I have pretty good friendships with February birthday peopleโฆNone of that was needed, butโฆ Yeahโฆ

"Oh. I'm sure they wouldn't have that, though. It's a college, after all," Sterling murmured as he started looking around with the magnifying glass.
"I've watched The Shining way too many times."

Sterling snorted. "Hey, do you want to look?" he offered, holding the magnifying glass up for her.
She looked carefully but couldn't see anything. "I've got nothing."

"Yeah, me neither. Maybe it'll be in a couch," Sterling mused, turning away from the bookshelf and glancing around the room.
"Yeah, probably."

"Do you mind if I set you down to look?" Sterling asked, glancing over his shoulder at her.
"Hmmโฆokay fine."

Sterling chuckle a bit and walked over to a couch. He gently set her on the ground in front of it before he kneeled beside her. "Now, let's see what's in hereโฆ"
"My thing is, how small is small? Because there are different varieties of small."

"Well, it's at least big enough that we can see it with a magnifying glass," Sterling said with a shrug as he started pulling cushions off the couch.
"Let's just find it and get out of here, this place gives me the creeps."

Sterling hummed his agreement and started searching the couch. "Do you want to see if you can find it without the magnifying glass, and I'll look for it with it?"
"Sure, let's take a look." There was nothing immediately noticeable but she there had to be something.

Sterling peered at the couch, occasionally picking something up that might be it before he set it back down. After a while, he sighed, about ready to give up, before something caught his eye.
A little red bead was stuck between the armrest and the seat, and he pulled on it to get it out. It was attached to a string, which also had another note attached to it. "I think this is it."
"Yay! We found it! Now let's get the hell out of here."

Sterling chuckled a bit and stuffed the clue in his pocket. "How shall I carry you this time, sweetheart?" he asked, looking at her with a playful gleam in his eyes.
"Again, surprise me." She shrugged with a smile.

Sterling chuckled and stood before he picked her up bridal style. "Surprise."
She just giggled, laying her head on his chest.

Sterling smiled down at her and pecked her lips quickly. "All right. Shall we go back to your cabin, then?"
"Sounds good. We got some reading to do!"
