M watched until she found it and looked back down at his book. “Is that all?”

“Yeah..” She muttered absentmindedly, slipping the ring onto her finger and smiling down at it.

M rolled his eyes at his book and comtinued reading. Can she go away, geez have this moment somewhere else…

North glanced up at M. “What’s wrong?”

“What do you mean?” He asked as he flipped a page.

“I mean why are you always so sad?” She went over to him and sat down on the bed.

“What do you want, North?” He glanced up at her.

“I’m just worried about you.” She said quietly.

He glanced back down. “I’m fine.”

“Are you?” Her concern growing.

“Yes. Go away. I’m reading.”

“I..Okay…” she stood up, glancing once at M before leaving the room.

She’s in a hallway.

Pax was still stuffing his face but now there were multiple bags littering the table.

North laughed and sat down. "You hungry?"

Pax hummed happily and nodded. His mouth was too full for him to respond.

North's smile faded. "I'm worried about M..He's not himself.."

“Mmidippghmhplhmgmgg!” Pax said through his mouthfull, spreading crumbs.

North rolled her eyes and smiled a little. "I can't pretend I understood you."

Pax shrugged as if to say it was her loss and continued slurging in chips.

North sighed and leaned back in her chair, spinning the ring around on her finger.

Pax finally finished his chips and threw the empty bag at her.

North flinched and batted it away. "You done now?"

Pax burped. “Ya! What’id you want?”

North sighed. “I said I’m worried about M.”

"Don't be. M'll be back to his grumpy self soon!" Pax grinned.

“But he looks so sad..” She said quietly.
