"He always looks sad," Pax dismissed with a shrug.

“You really aren’t worried? Even what happened with the rain?”

"He does that all the time. And of course, I'm worried! He just won't let me do anything!"

“Stubborn shit.” She muttered, looking down at the table.

Pax hummed. "He's very stubborn."

North nodded a little. “Has he always been like this?”

“Always! For being a Mind Reader, he’s always oddly set on his own opinions.”

North laughed a bit. "I wish I knew what he looked like when he was a kid."

Pax shrugged. “Only Neo and Xanthe know that.”

“I’m sure, North. He’ll be alright with a few day’s time.”

"Okay then." She sighed, laying her head on the part of the table not covered in Pax's mess.

Pax crawled up onto the table and laid down amongst the crumbs and filth. He swt hs head down in it, covering his hair in crumbs.

North laughed at him. "M wouldn't be happy."

“Who caaares it’s comfy! M would know how comfy trash is since he is an actual piece of trash…”

“Oooo I didn’t know you were so salty Pax!” She laughed.

Pax rolled his eyes at her badly staged joke. “Yes. I’m very salty.”

North smiled and flicked a piece of chip away from her arm. “Why are you always in the kitchen when I come back. Do you ever leave?”

“Nope. The kitchen is my home!” Pax hugged the empty bags close.

North laughed and patted his head gently. “You’d better be careful or you’ll run us out of food.”

Pax snorted. “We can’t run out of food. M would never let that happen!”

“Okay then. Don’t you ever get tired of doing nothing all day? I mean, you don’t work or anything.”

“None of us work!” Pax giggled. “It’s wonderful!”

"What do you do then?" She asked, highly amused by Pax.

“I do nothing! I just eat and eat and eat!”

North laughed and looked a little confused at him. "You just eat all day?"

“Yep! All day, constantly, all the time! Eaaat!”
