"Yeah?" She asked.

"It's me." Neo's voice came through gently. There wasn't a lot of power behind it, as usual.

"I think M's in the kitchen."

"No, M wouldn't care. I need to talk to you."

North frowned and stood up to open the door. "Me?"

"Yes." Neo was slumping forward a little, once she opened the door, though, he straightened back up. He looked haughty and frightened, and perhaps more like his twin than usual.

"You okay?"

"I… am okay." He straightened his already straight tie. "Can… we walk around? There's something I need to tell you, and it needs to be away from prying ears."

"Course." They walked out of the house and towards the empty city.

The clicks of Neo's dress shoes rang off of the buildings, and the tapping of North's echoed less impressively next to it. Neo walked in silence, his face darkened and more lined; he truly looked his age.
"You knew Zackary, yes?" Neo finally asked after a while.

"I know him, yes."

"No." Neo sighed and shook his head. "A Guardian fell yesterday, to a force unnamed. Ari is gone."

(wait like zackary was the guardian that fell and ari left? or a random guardian fell and ari is dead?)

"H-he's dead?" North stopped walking, a disbelieving look on her face.

"Yes. It's a loss that'll shake the whole Universe. Zackary was incredibly important. But his brother, Oliver, may know something about it; he was the one who found Zackary's body."

North walked a couple steps away from Neo. She exhaled deeply and ran a hand through her hair.

Neo put a steady hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry. He was a great man."

North nodded. "So.." She sighed. "What are you going to do about Ari?"

"I don't know. Ari knows how to take care of himself. He's probably trying to figure out who killed Zackary."

"So we just sit back and let him go around killing people?"

"Excuse me?"

"I'm just saying you have to help him."

"Ah. I thought you said something else… but… I can't. I want to, but the other Gods… have forbidden me to. I wasn't even supposed to tell anyone here what happened."

"There's nothing you can do?"

"The most I can do is tell you. I wish I could do so much more; Zackary was my friend too."

"Oh..M is probably going to find out y'know. You can't really keep things from him."
