Mind Readers, Demons, and Gods, Oh My! (Closed//Stalkers Enabled)

"But M wouldn't care. Remember, he and Zackary had… bad blood. However, M is a formal Detective. If you'd like to help, you should probably get M to give you advice." Neo inhaled sharply and looked over his shoulder. "Shit. They know I'm here. Good luck, North. If you need me to teleport you anywhere, just… put this on." He yanked a ring off of his left ring finger and gave it to her.

North barely got out a goodbye before Neo left. She stood there for a moment breathing heavily. She walked back to the house slowly.

The ring was heavy and still warm. It seemed to be a wedding ring of great royalty, and it glowed occasionally. It was a slate gray with faint stripes of white, and the stripes themselves glowed a bright blue.

North turned it over in her hands as she walked. It was starting to get dark outside, but instead she sat down on the fountain and took in the events of the evening.

Fireflies blinked over the underbrush, making it very beautiful, but it was mocking. The area had no idea about the Guardian's fall.

North put the ring in her pocket and set her head in her hands.

A cricket sang in the underbrush, it's song ringing gently out into the night.

North slammed her hand down on the fountain, anger and sadness coursing through her. She stood up and walked back to the house.

The house was quiet and M was cleaning up from dinner in the kitchen, as Pax droned on about something to a bored-looking Cameron.

North walked past the kitchen towards her room, not wanting to talk.

She arrived at her room dressed in blue. It was empty and quiet.

She laid down on the bed, there were tears in her eyes, but not enough to spill over.

North. Zackary's voice whispered in her ear.

North gasped and sat up. You're supposed to be dead. She thought.

I am, but your memory keeps me alive in your head.

I need to help Ari. He can't just go rampaging around trying to find whatever killed you.

Ari has a… more stable head than that. Ari isn't raging around. He can't for how powerful he is.

Ah, someone just managed to find a Dark Demon Guardian and it's not very hard to kill Dark Demons… so they just kinda shot me and left. I was flying at the time. It hit my wing joint and I broke my neck. The worst part was I was lonely for my last few moments.

Neo told me to tell M..but I don't think I want to.
