"Nothing." He said and smiled back at her.

"You can't tell me nothing," she insisted. "What is it?"

He shook his head and smiled "am I not allowed to kiss you randomly?"

"You usually don't," she explained.

he glanced at her and shrugged "So now I need a reason?"

"Yes," she said decidedly, walking up beside him.

He raised an eyebrow and thought for a moment "Because I love you."

She hadn't been expecting that. "Oh…" Her confident façade dropped.

He smiled softly and pulled her close "what? no snarky remark back?"

She blushed. "Um… no?"

He laughed softly and tilted her head up "you never cease to surprise, do you?

She looked into his eyes. "Apparently."

He shook his head and kissed her softly "Mon amour" he said lovingly, heading back to the dining room

She blushed and followed him. "D-Do you need help cleaning up?"

He shrugged "If you want. I can take care of this while you get the fabric ready."

"I can do this. It'll get done faster, then we can agree on the fabrics," she suggested.

He nodded in thanks and started to wash the dishes, humming softly

Nathalie recognized the song and smiled. She slowly began to hum as well in harmony with him.

He smiled and glanced over his shoulder at her. he went back to cleaning the dishes, using a rag from the side of the sink to dry them before putting them away

Nathalie didn't notice his glance as she packed up the croissants and put them in the fridge.

"ready to begin" he asked, turning and leaning on the counter, drying his hands with the towel

"Yes," she replied softly.

he nodded and headed to his office. "got the notebook?" he asked, rummaging through his things for everything they needed to start the designing process

"Yes," she replied, retrieving it from where she'd left it.

"Good." he stopped for a minute and glanced up at her. "I have an idea…."

She looked at him and met his gaze. "What is it?"

"what if we switch, you make my costume, I make yours? It'll be done faster and it'll be a little surprise." He suggested

She looked thoughtful. "Alright."
