Kayla laughed as she picked up more paper to toss at him.
"Aren't you going to defend yourself?" she teased.
Kayla laughed as she picked up more paper to toss at him.
"Aren't you going to defend yourself?" she teased.
J spluttered angrily. “What do you mean by that?? There are so many!!”
"Exactly! Pick some up!" Kayla laughed.
J spluttered some more. “I don’t want to hit you!”
"Why, 'cause I'm a girl?" Kayla laughed, tossing one at his face.
“Because you are the most lovely lady I’ve ever seen,” J argued with a slight bow.
Kayla froze and blinked. Her mouth gaped open slightly as she stared at him.
J grinned up at her. His grin faded out slightly when he saw her expression.
“What? Too creepy?”
Kayla blinked again and shook her head, closing her mouth as a blush rose to her cheeks.
"No. Not at all," she whispered.
J smiled a little. “I’m not lying to you. You’re very pretty.”
"I'm… not the pretty one," Kayla said, shaking her head as she stared at the floor. "That's Autumn."
J walked over, still standing a few feet away. “I don’t think so.” He smiled. “I bet you’d look a lot better without the makeup.” He winked, trying to lighten up the situation. “Tips from a rock star.”
Kayla glanced up through her eyelashes, shy once more.
"Well… Thanks," she said softly.
J nodded a little. “No problem.”
(You know what would be funny? If he kissed her, and then Autumn and Alex walked in.)
Kayla gave him a shy smile. "I guess I don't get complimented very often. Autumn seems to always be the center of attention…"
(xD That would be great, but why would they walk up there?)
J grabbed her hands gently and stepped forward a little more. “Now it’s your turn, yeah?” He asked this softly as though he were talking to a scared animal.
(Idk… Maybe Alex was showing her around?)
Kayla felt her heart skip a beat when he took her hands, and she looked up at him fully.
"My turn?" she breathed, her head tilted to the side a bit. "Yeah… I guess…"
(Ya sure! Sounds like a good idea.)
J’s hands felt rough and worn. He shifted his grip on her hands and steadily gazed back at her, his soft eyes gleaming.
“You guess?”
"I mean, do I really get a choice?" Kayla softly joked with a shrug.
J lauged gently. “No, not really. I think you deserve the attention.”
"I think I might like it…" Kayla said with a small smile before adding under her breath, in hopes that he wouldn't hear, "If it's coming from you."
J smiled, catching what she said. “Good. Coz it is coming from me.” He squeezed her hands.
Kayla's eyes widened while the blush that hadn't yet left her cheeks turned a deep crimson.
"Okay," she breathed, at a loss for words.
J smiled a little, leaning forward so their noses were almost touching. She’s so cute when she blushes… Though he was warm in the face too.
Kayla's breath caught in her throat when he leaned forward.
Don't do it. Don't you dare lean closer!
Her thoughts went in headed as she gently touched her nose to his, barely breathing.
J let his breath catch in his throat. She hasn’t pushed me away yet… should I go in for it…?
Kayla let her eyes fall shut as her heart pounded in her ears. He was so close. Oh, gosh… So close…
J pulled into her so their lips were barely touching. He slowly shut his eyes too as thier lips were oh so close to touching…
Kayla's eyes shot open for a moment. She hadn't actually expected him to do it, but he did, even if it was just barely. Nervously, she pressed their lips closer together, hoping he wouldn't pull away.
(So… Who's going to walk in first?)
(I legit have no idea. I kinda want them to go uninterrupted cuz fluff)
J inhaled gently through his nose as she kissed him. He slowly relaxed into her, smiling a little.
