The bell rang and Rye ran out of class to find Levi. His Birthday was coming soon and she wanted to know what he wanted. As she did so she played with the necklace around her neck. She loved it, and planned on wearing it everyday. She went to his floor and wandered around. A few people whispered since she didn't come up to the second floor often. A few of the guys looked her up and down, which made her uncomfortable. "Hey." A guy with black hair stopped her. Wow, he's tall. "Yes?" She asked wanting this to be over with. "You're cute, I haven't seen you here before." Ah, a flirt. "Sorry I'm meeting with someone." He moved in front of her as she tried to get around. "A boyfriend?" She looked down at her with a smile. That smile made her even more uncomfortable and unconsciously she wrapped her arms around herself. "No.."
Notice me.

Levi was wondering the halls for Rye. Since he was one of the tallest guys in school it was usually pretty easy to find her when he tried. He looked down at the bracelet and couldn't help but smile. Even though it wasn't anything fancy like he got her, he loved it. He started thinking about last night all over again. He had just pushed it back in his mind for the day so it wouldn't distract him. He almost kissed her…..
What her brother Ty said. He was going to kiss her next chance he got. He would usually NEVER even think of kissing someone. Those germs and all of that bacteria transferred to his mouth?! But….something about Rye made him not even think about that at all. Just her lips on his. Man, her liking him back would just be a dream itself. He was lost in his little daydreamy land when someone bumped into. him, then profusely apologizing. That's what everyone always did. He looked down and would usually tell someone to watch where they were going, but he was too focused on finding Rye.
He looked around to see her. A smile would have appeared on his face but he spotted a guy near her. And she definitely didn't look comfortable with this. He stepped up to the guy and set his hand on his shoulder with his gloved hand. "And what do you think you're doing?" He says looking down on him, only slightly. His British accent still there, and his voice was still soft and gentle. How it always was.
As soon as Levi showed up Rye moved closer to him. Why are most the guys in this school creeps. "I was just saying hello to your friend." He looked down at her with the same weird smile. "I didn't know you had such a cute friend Levi. Hi, I'm Ryan." He held out his hand, but Rye refused to take it. "You don't have to be scared. I just want to get to know you." Rye stepped forward and frowned. "I don't want to get to know you. Especially creepy guys like you." This tipped Ryan off, he liked feisty girls. But he was used to them falling for him within minutes. With Levi next to her though, he couldn't exactly do anything. He wasn't that stupid. "Well, I hope you change your mind." He leaned down to her level, patted her head and gave her a wink. "We should all hang out together sometime." Ryan said as he passed by Levi. "What a weirdo. He gave me shivers, and not the good kind. Are all the guys on the second floor like that?" Rye asked moving closer to Levi. She hated guys like that.

Levi glared at him the whole entire time, his blue eyes stabbing daggers into him as he spoke. He was ready to beat the hell out of him if he so much as touched her. Once he left Levi stepped closer to Rye. The protective feeling over her was overwhelming in his chest. "Yeah just about," he says with a sigh. He then looked at her, serious as can be "next time wait for me to find you. I don't want anything happening anything you. Got it?" He says grabbing her hand and readjusting the strap over his should and led her down the hallway and to the stairs. He didn't know what he would possibly do if something happened to her and he could have stopped it but didn't. He held her hand tight, not letting go until they were away from the second floor.
"I see…" So they are all like that. When Levi grabbed her hand her heart jumped a bit, she still couldn't get last night out of her mind. What was he thinking last night, and why was he being so weird? Many questions swirled around her head. His grip tightened around her hand as he led her down the hall. Rye felt it was almost as if he let go that he thought she might disappear, which would never happen. She could never leave Levi by himself in a world like this. It was too cruel. "Hey, what do you want for your birthday? I know it's coming up soon and we'll be the same age for a few months. So, is there something specific you want?"
group
Levi was glad she didn't pull her hand away. He held her hand on occasions, though not a lot. And every time he did his heart skipped a beat. He looked down at her when she spoke. He smiled a little at the thought of her actually remembering or even thinking about him.
"As long as you don't leave. Your company itself is the greatest gift" he says smiling at her kindly. He never smiled towards anyone else except for her. He just couldn't help it. "Sorry….that was a little weird" he says rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"Besides my company, what would you want." Of course she would hang out with him on his birthday. She did every year. Once on the first floor, she saw that most everyone had already gone to their clubs. She liked when the halls were empty. Skipping track today shouldn't be to bad. Rye took the lead this time and pulled Levi to her secret spot behind the school. It was a nice day outside, so it would be a shame to stay inside.
group
He thought to himself as she led him behind the school to her secret spot. What did he want? He never really got gifts a lot. "Maybe some index" he joked. "A new handkerchief? I have about 50 of those though." He blew the curl of thick black hair that always fell in his face away as he thought about it. He turned to.his, "surprise me. As long as if its from you I'm sure I'll.love it"
"Hm…" Rye sat in the green grass and thought. What would be something he would like? She looked at his bracelet, if she hadn't made that, she probably would have for his birthday. "Are you sure you don't know?" Making someone homemade again would probably be best since she doesn't have a job. Although she wished she did so that she could get him something nice for once. Maybe if I ask nicely mom and dad will let me get a job.
group
"Maybe a Bobby pin to keep this curl out of my face would be nice," he says halfway joking as he sat down in the grass. He would normally never sit in the filthy grass. But for her, he would. "Oh…those bowties are always nice." He mumbled to.himself
A hair pin I could do. But would people make fun of him if I made him one and he wore it? That was the last thing she wanted. Someone to make fun of him because he wore something she made. "You're making this difficult for me." She laughed and laid down in the grass. She didn't mind getting dirty. Growing up she was always a bit of a tomboy. Playing in mad and stuff like that she always enjoyed, but she could see how some people didn't like that. "Alright what do you want to do for your birthday?" It was exciting that they would be the same age. Even if it did happen every year, she still thought it was exciting.

"Oh that's a much better idea. Oh next week there's a huge fancy-looking carnival that's opening for the first time. Its downtown, so I'm sure you've heard of it. Its normally not my cup of tea, but i figured i might want to have fun…ya know?" He says laying in the grass with her, his arms above his head like a pillow.
A carnival actually sounded kind of good for once. And it was a good chance to have fun with Rye. They haven't been able to do that sort of thing in a while
"A carnival!" Rye threw her arms up. "That sounds like fun. Man, I haven't been to a carnival since I was a child." Her family used to go all the time to this small one that shut down years ago. It was sad when it was gone, so many memories were made there. "I can't wait for next week now." She turned on her side and looked at Levi. She loved how his curly hair fell into his face. It was cute. "We should do something after school."
group
"Agreed" he says rolling over to his side to look at her. He suddenly realized how close they were to each other. He could totally kiss her right now. But he didn't, though tempted. He just looked into those gorgeous eyes of hers. He snapped out of reality when he felt a piece of grass tickle his cheek. "So…um what should we do?"
"Hm.." She thought for a moment. Too bad it wasn't warm enough for the beach. She's been wanting to go there for awhile. Maybe over summer break she'll ask him to go with her. "Honestly, I don't know. Do you have any ideas?" As long as she was with him anything would be fun. He always made her happy. "I'll do whatever you want to." Rye heard a few voice coming from a distance. She wasn't worried if they saw them though. This spot was in a corner that was surrounded by tall bushes. They wouldn't be able to see them if they tried.
group
Levi jumped a bit when he heard a voice, but he saw the place from outside. It was almost impossible to see. The only way he found it was when she showed it. "Okay….oh, i was going to go to the coffee shop after school if you were busy or something. We could go there if you would like. "
He says a little excited. He really loved their strawberry cheesecake that they served.
"Yeah, Let's go there." Rye gave him a smile. She loved coffee shops, especially the ones that looked like old classic coffee shops. "I can't wait for school to be over with." Rye sat up and moved closer to the bush so she could see through it. Of course the ones out there were her bullies. They were probably looking for her. Hmp, too bad.
group
"Yeah same." He says looking up at all of the leaves. He turned his head to look at her. "What're you doing?" He asks sitting up a little, propping himself up by his elbow. He looked through the bush trying to see what she saw, until he did. He knew exactly who they were. And he definitely wasn't fond of them.
"Nothing really. Just.. people watching." Rye didn't want Levi to know she was getting bullied. He would worry about her to much. "We should probably get going in a bit.." She gave Levi a side eye and grinned, "Unless you want to skip our last class?" It would be fun, and she's never done it before. Sure her parents would be upset, but she was already doing so well in classes she figured they would be fine with it.
group
He was a little shocked when she said that but he smiled a little and nodded "i mean why not" he shrugged, blowing his hair out if his face. "So what're we going to do while class is going? And wait, aren't you going to get in trouble for this?" He asks her sitting completely up now.
"Probably. But whatever, it should be fine." The group of girls finally left and Rye moved through an opening in the bush to get out. She'll probably get grounded for a while, but it was worth it if she could spend more time with Levi. "Let's go get some coffee." Her backpack was still in the school, but it was too risky to go get it right now. She'll just say she forgot it.
group
"Alright. I'm paying though" he says following her out of the brush. A leave stuck in his hair as he did, though he didn't notice. He looked around, checking if nobody was around. He then looked back at Rye. " don't you need your bag? I can get it"
"Can you? I don't feel like going back inside." Rye smiled, then noticed a leaf in Levi's hair. A small giggle escaped her lips. "Hold on." Standing on her tippy toes she reached up and took the leaf out, only inches away from his face. Rye couldn't help but notice how close they were, a bit of a pink color rose to her cheeks and she hoped Levi didn't notice.
group
He took a step forward to go get her bag but she stopped him.
He let her take the leaf out of his hair. He noticed how close they were and his face turned visibly red as she did. He noticed a little tint of pink to her face, though he just waved it off. Her face was probably already like that before….right?
He looked into her eyes before averting his own. "Uh…thanks…." He says running his fingers through his hair once she was done.
"Yeah, of course!" Rye was back to her smiley self, trying to hide the fact that her face was red, and this feeling she had. "Anyway," She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, "I'll wait here." Rye so badly wanted to touch his hair again, but there was no reason to, so why did she feel like this?
group
"Oh! Right! Uh….yeah ill get that" he says awkwardly as he stepped away, then ran into the school.
About a minute afterwards he came out with her bag slung over his shoulder. His shoulders we're always too broad for his liking, but then again he didn't really like anything about himself. Though his shoulders we're a normal size for how tall and muscular he is. Which he wasn't that muscular, but it was decent. (If that makes sense lol)
He walked out to Rye with a little smile, which he never smiled a lot.
"Here you go m lady," He says as He handed her the bag with a little bow as maybe a butler or a prince would do.
"Why thank you kind sir." She laughed, and took her backpack from him. She held out her hand and looked him in the eye. Rye wanted to hold hands like they used to. She could already smell the coffee. Rye wasn't aloud to have much coffee. Her dad was very old school. And that's one of the reasons why she was bullied.
group
He smiled and took her hand gently with his rather large hand, as always. He always had a leather black glove on his left hand in case he had to touch something without his handkerchief. But he never touched her hand with his gloved hand. Always with the bare hand.
"Shall we go then?"
"We shall." Rye smiled then took off running. There was security around the school to make sure things like this didn't happen, but Rye was always down for a challenge. "So, how do we get around security?" Levi has done this before, so asking him and following his lead was the best plan for now.
group
"Well there's a few trees over there that we have to go through then we would have to go all the way around the school." He says leading her near the far back till the got to a small bundle of trees. It wasn't much and he was surprised they didn't have security back here. But he wasn't complaining.
