"Eh. That doesn't seem like something they'd do, really," Elsie mused, careful to word it in a neutral manner. She didn't want to get involved in the whole Levi-Rye-Lance dilemma.

"Maybe….maybe not. Who knows." He says turning around to her, running his hand through his hair.
"Well anyway, see ya tomorrow?"
"Yeah, see you tomorrow. Thanks for letting me come, by the way. It was fun." Elsie smiled at him and began to head off, humming to herself happily.

He nods to her with a little smile and headed towards the spot. Once he got there, he found Rye already there. With a smile, he greeted her and sat down beside her on the swing, after wiping it down of course.
"Hey." Rye was slightly shivering because of the breeze, her skin was pretty dry but her clothes were still damp, which made things a lot worse. "The sunset is going to be beautiful." Rye was happy she didn't let Lance come, this was their spot, and only their spot. Forever, just them here. "How was your time with Elsie?" She was curious. Had they become friends? If so, was he going to leave her behind? That was something she didn't want to think of. Rye kept a smile in her face, like always, sometimes it because difficult to do. But she didn't want the people around her to get worried. They didn't need that, they all had their own lives and were busy.

"Uhm…..well….shes interesting. Not very talkative though. Apparentlyaren one time she was loud and annoying, oh and she " walks a lonely road" Whatever that means….buts that's all I really gained from our conversation."
He says with a short as he lightly swings back and forth, his shoes barely grazing the ground. He sounded very unenthusiastic about it, to say the least. Though it wasn't like he didn't enjoy their time. I mean….he kind of did. But they didn't actually do much. Nor talk about much. So there wasn't really anything to be happy about. He was a little disappointed that it was over so quickly, but he was glad he was with Rye. Just her and her alone watching the sunset while on a pair of dirty swings that he wouldn't even waste his time doing so much as looking at it if it weren't for the fact that it was for Rye. He had this sinking feeling in his chest when he remembered what Rye was doing while he was hanging out with Elsie. She was hanging out with Lance…..
Yeah, her new friend. That's right….Levis, not the only one anymore. Is their friendship going to lose all important!? Is their bond going to fade away slowly as they form a new one with new people?
Panic started to arise in his mind. Panic and a little clench at his heart. His heartstrings were being sawed away….string by strong. Fiber by fiber. One….at a time…..
He tried to clear his mind and just admire Rye's beauty and be happy that she and he were so close. But he noticed her wet clothes.
"For the second time today? Come on, what happened this time? Did you ask him to spill it on you or what?"
He asks her jokingly, motioning to her clothes with a little laugh.
"Here it must be cold," he says skipping off the over the jacket of his school uniform. Then put it over her shoulders with a gentle expression. A soft smile filled with love. And all of it was for her.
Lance quietly walked home, along the pretty empty streets of the town. It made Lance realize that the time had gone by pretty quick. His clothes were still damp but his hair was pretty dry, he ran a hand through it and smiled, thinking of Rye. God, she’s great… he thought to himself. When he arrived home, Zackie as usual, enveloped him in a hug,
“Why are you wet?!” He exclaimed.
“I went swimming,”
“In your clothes?”
“Yeah…”
“Go change, you’re gonna catch a cold!”
Lance laughed as Zackie playfully shook his head at him. He headed to his room and changed then came back downstairs to greet his parents who had just gotten home from work.
"Hee hee," a silly grin was on her face. "Nope, we jumped in the river near the park. You know the one you aren't supposed to swim in. Immediately Rye felt warm when Levi put his jacket on her. She didn't dare swing since it might fall off. Then it happened, the sky turned pink and purple. It was beautiful. Rye watch it in awe. Sunsets were one of her favorite things. It was just one of those things where you could forget everything else for a moment and just enjoy right now. And it was never the same. "I love this." Rye said as she leaned forward a bit.

And it happened exactly as that. Levi had forgotten every problem or worry, doubt or sadness. It had all faded away within the purple and pink colors of the sky. He sat back on the swing and looked up at the sky. He was filled with pure happiness and satisfaction to be able to be with her at this moment. He suddenly got up off of the swing and looked at her with a smile. His white teeth were more visible than they should be in this lighting. He took way better care of his teeth, and his body in general than people expect him to. Given his situation and all.
He turned around and sat down on the ground right as the ground started to go downhill. He patted the ground next to him as he turned around to face her. It was incredibly unusual and seemingly near impossible for him to sit down on the ground. Let alone being so happy about it.
Rye smiled and jumped off the swing grabbing the jacket as she did so. Running over she sat next to him. Looking over at him, his smile was beautiful and the sunset reflected in his eyes. The beautiful colors surround him. The pink and purple was more towards his face, then it faded into the green forest. I wish I had my camera on me. Rye was just grateful that she got a phone with an amazing camera.* quickly taking it out she focused on him and snapped the picture. This was a keeper, even if he said to delete, she definitely wouldn't. Then she turned back to look at the sky. She Hummed and laid down, this was the perfect night, although she thought that everytime they came here. She wanted to talk about something, but she also wanted to just listen to nature. She wouldn't mind if Levi talked, she liked his voice, it was soothing to her.

He noticed her taking a picture of his out of the corner of his eye. His face turned slightly red, though he didn't do anything about it.
"You could get a much better picture with an actual camera," He says with a little laugh.
(Sorry it's short, I'm a bit busy atm)
"I know, but I left mine at home." Rye was extremely disappointed in herself, she always used to carry it around, but once the bullying started she was afraid it would break. "This one isn't too bad." Pulling up the picture she showed to him. If he was gave her permission, Rye wanted to use this at the next contest. Her grandfather taught her everything he knew and it was her dream to become a photographer. "You're very photogenic." This wasn't the first picture she's taken of Levi, and it definitely wasn't going to be the last. Rye didn't like her picture being taken, she didn't feel like she was good enough to be in front of a camera.

"So I've been told," he says getting out his own phone. Swiping over to the camera and aiming it towards her.
"Smile," he says to her ready to take the picture. He wasn't much of a photographer, though James definitely was. (Youll see more of him soon :3) James had persuaded him into buying him a camera, which he also always left home.
She was absolutely gorgeous in every way possible. The way eyes lit up when she talked and admired all of the beauty around her. Though he couldn't help but do the same. To him the beauty wasnt the sky nor the nature around him. It was her. Just her.
Rye sat up and pulled her knees close to her chest. Laying her head down her hair flopped to the side and she smiled. Levi was about the only one who was allowed to take pictures of her. Her smile was a bit awkward, since she was rarely in front on the camera, but she tried her best. "Is this good enough? " Her face was a bit red, it was embarrassing. Her blue eyes reflected the last bit of sunlight that hung in the sky. It would be dark soon, and she would have to head home soon. But staying abit late wouldn't be too bad.

He dropped the phone and looked down to the ground covering his face a little bit. Finally composing himself, he picked up his phone and aimed the camera towards her once again. His face was beet red as he admired how absolutely gorgeous she was.
"I honestly have no idea why you don't want people taking your picture. You're stunning"
He says snapping the photo with a little smile. Mumbling the last part, though he wouldn't be surprised if she heard it. Though he wouldn't care if she did. She needed to know it.
"Ah," Rye moved her head and buried her face in her knees. "Thank you." Levi was always so kind to her, ever since they were young. It was a surprise to her that anyone could be afraid or hate him. If only that got to know him. "You're pretty hand yourself. You should be a model." Rye was serious about that, but the though of him being to busy for her made her feel sad. She looked back over at him, although her face was completely red. "Can I see the picture?"

He's thought about being a model before, but with his past and all of his "issues", nobody would let him. He's never gotten mad or violent with Rye. And he would never dare to let his mind get the better of himself. He would always stay in control of himself around her no matter what.
When she asks to see the picture he looks down at it for a few seconds. The way the setting sun shown on her face and her dark hair. Her gorgeous eyes gleaming and reflecting the color of the sky. Her cute awkward smile that he loved oh so much. He's gonna keep this for sure. Maybe show it to James. Oh, he would love that.
"fine, but don't delete it. It's a good picture." He says hesitantly handing her the phone
"I won't delete it as long as you don't show anyone else." Taking the phone, she looked and cringed at her smile. At least the sunset looks nice. Rye thought she looked like a mess. Her wet her was still dripping a bit, and her clothes clung to her body. "Alright I'm done." She handed it back. Taking out her phone again, suddenly she pulled Levi close and yelled smile. But she took it before he could. She had so many pictures like this, where she will be smiling but he would either be surprised or have some silly look on his face, these kinds of pictures were her favorites. "Another one for the book." She laughed still holding him close. The sky turned to a deep blue and stars began to shine.

His face turned red as she pulled him in. His eyes went wide as he turned his face to the camera, a small smile appearing on his face as she took the photo. It was more of a small smirk than anything. Which he hated so much. His dimples shown only a little bit.
"what? No! That was bad! Retake it!" He says with a little laugh. His face was so close to hers, his heart began to start a fire in his chest that he wasnt about to put out. He would usually immediately pull away but like usual…
it was Rye, so he was going to enjoy it. Her dripping hair and her wet sticky clothes. He just wanted to pull her in and kiss her right then and there. He never understood why people would want to kiss someone. Sharing germs and all of that stuff disgusted him. He's never actually felt the urge to kiss her as he did now. More just hold her and be with her forever.
He quickly found himself simply lost in her eyes and her smile. Her cute face and unusual behaviors that he adored.
Lance sat talking to his parents and brother for about ten minutes before making a quick sandwich for dinner. Then he went outside to eat and smiled as his playful dog, Azzy came up to him from where she had been napping in the yard.
"Alright, alright. Smile." Rye waited till he was ready. She raised her phone and with a smile she looked at it. It might be a bit too dark now, but she'll try anyway. Rye had a whole photo book of her and Levi's adventures, one that he doesn't even know about. She was waiting for the best time to show him, but it was also kind of embarrassing. "Tell me when you are ready." Rye pushed her cheek next to his, even though he might not like it Rye thought it would be cute and she ready wanted to add it to the photo book.

His heart rate skyrocketed as she did so. He took a deep shallow breath and smiled really big. His dimples showing more than usually. It was his usual cheeky smile that he did with her in photos. His face was visibly red, which he hoped she wouldnt notice.
"ready!" He says with a little laugh through his cheeky smile. It was a rare thing for him to smile real big like that.
He only ever did it with her. She was special. Of course, anyone could tell she was special to him.
Elsie arrived at her home, her footsteps echoing as she stepped in the empty house. A note was taped to the wall: Gone to visit some friends; be back tomorrow. Love you. She sighed, crumbling the paper and throwing it in the trash. Her parents once again have left her alone. Except for Victor, of course. Elsie searched for the cat, finding him lounging on the couch. "Hey, buddy," she said quietly, reaching over to pet him.
"Cheese." After that came a click. "Wonderful." She pulled up the photo and you can see the joy on her face. "Look at us, we're so cute. Especially you." Handing him the phone, she wanted him to have a look. He looks so happy. Rye looked closer and realized he look just a tad different than he does in all the other pictures. She wasn't going to say that out loud though. Maybe I'm just seeing things. I mean it is dark. Rye pushed the thought to the back of her mind. It didn't matter right now, she could think about it later.

"My smile is too big. And what even are my eyes doing? And my freckles are way too…….much. Crop me out of it and it'll be perfect."
He says leaning over to her a little bit to see the phone better. His arm touching her shoulder in the slightest way.
"What? No way." Rye pulled her phone away quickly afraid he might delete it. "I love your smile, and I wish I had freckles." This was her new favorite picture of them. I have to put this in the book. Rye was planning to give the book to Levi on his eighth birthday, but she was so excited she might give it to him early. "I can't wait for your birthday." Levi's birthday comes before Rye's, so for a short while they are the same age, that is until her birthday comes around.

"Well is only in two weeks. I'm sure you can wait that long." He says with a little laugh. He then looked up at the sky, then back at her with a little smile. He tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear ever so gently.
"You better not have gotten me something though," he says almost jokingly, though he was more serious than not.
"Well too bad, because I already have." It wasn't going to be like this necklace he gave her, and it was only handmade like the bracelet, but she knew he would like it. "It's hard to wait when your excited." Rye looked at him, her facial features softened, she didn't smile, but she wasn't frowning either. It was his sudden touch that threw her off. She wasn't expecting it. Rye was happy that it was dark, because her face turned red. It was things like that, that made her confused and gave her confusing feelings.

His eyes locked with hers as he was oh so tempted to kiss her then and now. It would be perfect…. So what was keeping him from doing it?
The feeling deep down that she didn't feel the same way. The sinking in his heart when he remembered how she and Lance interacted with each other. Then feeling that she would be like everyone else and reject him. She wasn't like everyone else. And he knew that. But in this instance she was. She would reject him and that was it. She would shove him away, yell at him for being naive and outright idiotic for even having a thought that she would like him like that.
His eyes strayed to her lips, then flickered back at her gorgeous eyes that he could see their beauty even in the dark. His hand still where he had left it when he had tucked the strand of hair behind her ear. He pulled away, his hand and his eyes. His whole body scooting away sightly. Now looking at the ground, his hair falling in his face as his eyes closed tight. Why was he so stupid?
"Levi…." Rye wasn't to sure of what to say. The warmth of his hand still lingered on her cheek. She couldn't help but feel something in the moment, wouldn't any girl in her situation? Rye hoped that this was normal, and that every girl who had a guy friend had moments like this, right? Rue stayed where she was, afraid she might make him unconscious. "Are you alright?" Rye touched his shoulder, trying to comfort him. What is going on? Hes been acting weird since he entered high school. There had to do something. Maybe I did something wrong. "Hey, if I did something wrong, then I apologize."
