"Alright." Nathaniel went the rest of the way in and stood on the sparring mat.
one on one?
"I would drop your confidence level to a 5. You still have an injury that I may or may not take advantage of." V said with a grin, heading over to the far wall and grabbing a sword
Nathaniel rolled his eyes. "Now that wouldn't be very nice, would it? En guard!" He held his sword out towards V.
He laughed lightly and rolled his shoulders"who says angels play nice?"
Nathaniel shrugged and began sparring with V. He seemed to be very good at it, but occasionally winced when doing particular motions due to his injuries.
He parties and countered the attacks, careful not to do anything too extreme so as to not hurt Nathaniel
Nathaniel gritted his teeth and ignored the pain to the best of his ability, but deep down, he knew he was only making it worse. After a little while of sparring, his hands seemed to start shaking.
V stopped and looked at Nathaniel "break time?"
"Y-Yeah… sounds good…" Nathaniel knelt down on the mat, his body aching.
V crouched next to Nathaniel "this was a bad idea…"
"No, I'm… I'm okay…" Nathaniel looked up at V, pain evident in his eyes.
"did I ever mention you're a terrible liar?" V said, looping his arm under Nathaniels and bringing him over to the bench
Nathaniel shrugged and sat on the bench, holding his face in his hands. Yeah, this might've been a bad idea…
He touched his shoulder "where does it hurt?" He asked softly
Nathaniel sighed quietly. "Everywhere… Everywhere hurts."
V sighed and placed his hands on his back. "Stay still." He closed his eyes and concentrated
"W-What are you doing?" Nathaniel asked quietly, complying anyways.
"healing you, somewhat." V explained, focusing on the pain
"You can… you can do that?" Nathaniel flinched when V added more pressure.
"sort of, got it from my mom. Sorry." He tried to ease the pain in Nathaniel's body, knowing it was hurting him but also knowing that it would be worse if he didn't try
"Nngh…" Nathaniel gritted his teeth, trying to put the pain out of his mind. I don't think this is helping…
He pulled his hands away and sighed "ok, that should be better in a few hours. Does it still hurt?"
Nathaniel nodded silently, keeping his eyes tightly shut. He seemed to be very tense.
V sighed softly "you have to relax, it's not going to do you any good if you don't relax."
"I-I can't… it hurts more that way." Nathaniel stared blankly at the floor.
"I know, but it's gonna hurt more if you don't." He sat next to Nathaniel and waited patiently
Nathaniel hesitantly relaxed his muscles, grimacing a bit. It hurt a lot, but this was supposedly going to make him better.
"see, that wasn't so bad," v encouraged "the tea should help when we get back home, can you stand?"
"I… I think so…" Nathaniel stood up unsteadily, his joints and muscles screaming at him to stop.
V held out his hands to help steady Nathaniel "think you can make it to the car?"
