George forced himself to look the stricken man in the eyes. “Oh.”

"They killed her and my unborn child," the drunk commander whimpered.

"She does…" He sighed softly and shut his eyes. "I'm in hysterics for her,"

Peter grinned. "Then I really have to meet her."

"Aye. Say, Peter, where's General Longstead?" André asked, breaking their previous topic.

"He should be in his tent. Why?" Peter asked, eyeing him curiously.

"Nothing, it's just, the general's usually always so eager to talk to me." John replied. "Haven't seen him since I came back,"

"Hmm… That's odd. Maybe he's expecting you…?" Peter suggested.

He stroked his chin, "He'd call for me if so,"

"Do you want me to see if he's in?" Peter asked.

"Sure," John replied.

Peter stood up. "I'll be back with a verdict," he said with a wink and strolled across the camp. (Uh… idk…)
