"Hey!" she protested, thumping his chest. "Cruz!"

"Well," he feigned thought, "Just wondering.."

"Your cat is not your lover," she pouted playfully, pretending to be hurt.

"He is pretty handsome." He picked up the furry cat and began kissing the poor cat's face. "muah, muah, muah, i love you sooo much,"

"Fine, be that way," April grumbled, crossing her arms.

He hugged his cat, whom looked thoroughly pissed at its owner. "Well," Cruz chirped, "Your loss," a smirk spread across his stubbled face.

She stuck her tongue out at him. "No. I have your horse."

He gasped dramatically. "But– Athena would NEVER cheat on me!"

April snorted. "Sure, Cruz."

"Well, this has been an eventful morning," he slid out of bed, letting Pimiento escape. His pants hung lazily on his hips, of which he pulled up and retied so they'd not slip off.

April frowned slightly in disappointment at his action, reaching for him.

"What?" He laughed, peering over his shoulder. "Let me eat, and I'll come back, aye?" He smiled.

"Fiine….. But you still forgot to feed your lover…"

"Fair enough," he chuckled, meandering out of the room.

April sat there, letting her eyes drift shut once more,

The cat leapt back onto the bed. "Meow?"

"Awe," she chuckled, scratching behind its ears.

She continued to pet it, smiling.

Cruz returned with an apple in hand, pausing in the doorway.

James nodded his head quickly. It'd be nice to get something warm in his system.

Jane smiled. "I'll be right back."
After a few more minutes, she reemerged carrying two cups of warm tea. She handed one to James and kept one for herself. "Would you like any sugar?" she asked, setting her cup down on a table and preparing to leave the room once again.

April looked up at the sound of a crunch, a smile lighting up her face when she saw her lover.

"Yes please," James nodded, thanked her again.

"No problem, sir," she insisted, returning shortly with a small bowl of sugar cubes.

"Golden delicious," Cruz smiled, looking at the yellow apple. "My favorite."
