(Wait, what?)
“Yeah. Does it need food and water too?” Chase asked, curious to know since this was Hell after all.

Lucifer nodded. “Not as much as normal chinchillas, but they still do need food.”
Chase hummed happily, “Thank you, Lucifer. No one’s ever treated me this way before.” He smiled, leaning his head back on the seat as he gazed at Lucifer.
Lucifer met his gaze and smiled a little. “You’re welcome. I’m glad I could be the first. And hopefully not the last,”
Chase smiled more- gosh, how many times had he smiled today? It was such a foreign feeling- to be this happy. Only when his mother had still been alive had he been this happy before… A thought popped into his head, but he forced it aside for later.
Lucifer smiled back and looked around again. “Are you thirsty, human? Oh, you have a bottle.” He smiled sheepishly, relaxing into the seat.
Chase blushed a little. I’m really not this important to get this much attention… “Thank you anyways,” He opened the bottle and slipped out of it for emphasis, a tiny smile on his face.
Lucifer nodded. “You’re welcome. I forgot I gave you one already.” Lucifer idly wondered why he cared so much.
“You know, you’re really nice. A lot nicer than I deserve.” Chase told him, staring a the floor for a few seconds before adding, “It’s kind of ironic, actually.” He let out a small laugh at that, knowing very well he was talking to Satan.
Lucifer reached over and set a hand on Chase’s shoulder. “If you were so lonely that you forced yourself to make a contract, you do deserve it. You’re a wonderful person.”
Chase blushed further, that warm ember in his chest growing. He tried his best to ignore it- this growing attachment to having Lucifer around. It’s a stupid hope anyways. “I- Th-Thank you.”
Lucifer set a hand on Chase’s head idly. It was literally just what Lucifer did to people.
“You’re welcome. I am here for you for any of your needs.”
Somehow, Chase blushed even more. He didn’t dare move in hopes of Lucifer keeping his hand on Chase’s head. Even if that would be weird. He just couldn’t help but like the fact that someone -that Lucifer- was touching his head.
Lucifer dug his fingers into Chase’s hair. “Hmm. Your hair needs washing. But it is nice.” He gave it a couple pats and didn’t move away.
Lucifer’s hand. Tangled in his hair. “I… Y-yeah, I-I need to wash it sometime…” Chase trailed off, too focused on his Lucifer’s gentle hand was in his hair. He must’ve been red as a cherry at this point. This kind of stuff never happened to him.
Lucifer hummed softly and looked around idly. “I think I have a shower you may use. You can freshen up before dinner.”
“That would be nice,” Chase smiled- he probably looked stupid smiling so often like this. He didn’t realize that he scooted closer to Lucifer. Stop- I should stop enjoying hanging out with Lucifer, I should just stop.
Lucifer looked down at him and rested his arm across Chase’s shoulders.
“Yep, I also have some springs out behind my castle if you’d rather that.”
Chase leaned in more and tucked himself in Lucifer’s side, even though everything in his mind was screaming at him that this was crazy. “Springs would be really cool,” He responded, but his mind was elsewhere. Chase could really only think about how he was so close to Lucifer.
Lucifer wrapped his arm closer into Chase. He hummed softly. “Then I’ll see if we can use them. Comfortable?” He asked softly, smiling down at him.
“Yeah,” Chase hummed in pleasure, the blush still caught on his face but he tried to ignore it. He probably does this with all his clients, he’s just trying to giving me a warm welcoming party… that’s it… Chase closed his eyes anyways, a small smile still on his peaceful face as he murmured, “Nudge me when we get there…”
Lucifer wasn’t sure why he cared so much. He enjoyed the human’s company, and was incredulous as to why others didn’t.
“I will nudge you like the God I am.” He laughed softly.
Chase laughed into Lucifer’s side, feeling bold -or maybe it was just plain stupid- and nuzzling a little closer. Curse him and his stupid heart. But Chase was just so peaceful… it wasn’t even a surprise when he didn’t notice when the car came to slow.
Lucifer’s door got opened and the king looked down at Chase. He slowly lifted up his new contract, ducking out of the car and carrying him. He got a few questioning looks but otherwise he wasn’t stopped as he made his way to his room.
Chase vaguely registered being picked up, but he only curled slightly happily. He felt so warm, Chase didn’t want to move despite how he knew that this was absurd. This is all just crazy… what am I doing?
Lucifer laid down in his bed, curling up around Chase with a faint, happy sigh. This was quite nice, for being left alone for so long. It was nice to havr company.
Chase made a little sound of pleasure, happy with the warmth and softness. He felt safe, he felt loved for once. A part of him still hated himself because of it, but Chase let himself enjoy this moment- if only once.
Lucifer shut his eyes and smiled a bit. This was bliss, curled up with someone so warm. He hoped idly that Chase was enjoying it too. The little noise told him he was, though.
Chase wasn’t tired, but he found himself closing his eyes and enjoying Lucifer's arms around him. He never felt this comforted before and he never wanted this warmth in his chest to end.
Lucifer hummed softly. He didn’t feel too tired as he laid there with Chase, but it was still very wonderful to have someone to hug close.
