(Oof, I realized I mistyped and said ‘was tired’ in my last post, my bad, just fixed it)
Chase rolled over a bit and softly pressed his head into Lucifer’s strong shoulder. He felt guilty, for wanting this. For loving this. “I’m sorry I’m bugging you, Lucifer,” He mumbled quietly, but couldn’t force himself to pull away.
Satan’s Best ‘Friend’ (One on One)(Closed)
(Lol. I wouldn’t have minded either way)
Lucifer looked down at him delicately and patted his cheek. “That’s okay, Chase. I do not mind.” He smiled a bit.
“Just because you don’t mind doesn’t mean that you like it,” Chase pointedly out despite himself- despite that flutter in his heart. Why do I have to grow so attached to people so easily? He hated that he liked Lucifer, he hated that the feeling was only his stupid hopeful desperate heart’s want.
Lucifer titled his head into Chase again. “Was that what I was suggesting? I didn’t mean it like that. I am very much enjoying this.” He hummed softly.
Chase didn’t know what to say. Those words meant so much to him, more than he could even explain. Chase wasn’t supposed to be liked. But here he was, snuggling with Lucifer.
Lucifer smiled a bit to himself, thinking over Chase’s silence.
“What is wrong, dearest human? You seem troubled.”
“Why?” Chase whispered softly, pulling back slightly so he could look Lucifer in the eyes, “I’m- I’m not- I’m not special. I am a freak, why would you enjoy- enjoy this with me? You could have anything -you’re Lucifer- so why would you enjoy being with me?”
Lucifer gazed back steadily, a smile playing his handsome lips. “But you are special. Every mortal I’ve met has their own little quirk and you have the best one I’ve seen. You are not a freak because of it. You are wonderful.”
Chase blushed heavily, his heart fluttering. “Sometimes I just wish I could be aromantic, so I can’t get crushes so easily like this. It’s stupid,” Chase confessed, trying to be indirect so he could take it back in case Lucifer didn’t like him in the slightest like that. I only met him for a day and I already and falling for him… gosh I’m stupid…
Lucifer rose his eyebrows a little. “Aromatic? Well, are you suggesting that you do not wish to like me?” He didn’t seem offended— not in the slightest— merely curious.
“I am not offended,” He clarified quickly for Chase’s sake, “but I…”
“But it’s just you don’t feel the same,” Chase assumed and finished Lucifer’s sentence, “And my stupid heart is desperate and I just don’t even know anymore.” Chase scooted away a little, “I shouldn’t like you, heck, I only knew you for a day and it’s all just stupid and- and I’m sorry.” Chase laid all his cards out on the table truthfully, the only person he was ever really honest with. Maybe it’s becuase he didn’t care anymore, whether anyone liked him or not- he was in Hell now anyways so it didn’t matter.
Lucifer cut himself off. He was going to say “I don’t understand what it is I feel towards you” but he couldn’t quite agree with Chase’s statement.
“W-well… it’s normal for a human to feel love, right?” Lucifer tried to soothe him, but he was finding it hard to piece a sentence together.
“I guess,” Chase mumbled, biting his lip, “I just wish I didn’t, then I would’ve never liked guys, then I wouldn’t be the way I am, and I would be at least somewhat normal.” Chase stared at the wall, sighing. “I guess I’m glad I told you. At least I can be honest.”
Lucifer looked up at the wall, clearing his throat softly. “You are normal. How you feel about a certain gender is not up to you.” He shrugged faintly. “You shouldn’t worry yourself so much. You have a friend, now, someone who will listen and not judge.
Chase felt a small relief at Lucifer’s words. “Thank you, Lucifer.” He told him, smiling a tiny bit. It was going to take a while for him to get used to being accepted for who he was.
Lucifer looked down at him and patted his head. “You’re welcome, human. It is the most I can do.” He smiled a bit.
(What should happen now? Sorry, I’m feeling kinda uncreative oof)
(Oof I am too. Flufff?)
(Nah, I love the fluff, just not sure what to do now though)
(I’m not either. Ummmm…
I’m at a totall looooaoaoaoaossososssss)
(I’ll just try to spit ball here…
Maybe if we just timeskipped a few month(s) or so, that way they could develop more of a relationship
Or Lucifer has a butler who starts to talk/serve Chase a meal or something and Lucifer gets jealous
Or Chase gets hurt or something (like maybe a car accident on the way to dinner or he gets hit by a car or something more minor) and Lucifer goes into mother hen mode
Idk…)
(I like the first lmao
I’m just really basic I’m sorry)
(Nah, I actually liked the first one lol)
Chase cracked his eyes open to the morning sun, letting out a yawn. It had been months since he had arrived in Hell, but there hadn’t been a bad day so far. He had pushed his feeling for Lucifer aside a long while ago, deeming them pointless and irrational, anyways. There would always be a spot for Lucifer in Chase’s heart, but he wouldn’t mind it if they stayed only-friends either.

Lucifer still slept softly next to him. He had grown to respect their boundaries and slept apart from him. Not from the bed, of course, but he didn’t snuggle close like an odd part of him wanted to.
Chase turned on his side and looked at Lucifer, a small part of him warming at how calm he looked. If he would’ve told his past self that Satan was actually really sweet and peaceful, he probably would’ve deemed himself crazy. Chase slowly sat up, taking his eyes away from Lucifer’s sleeping body and he stretched his arms. He was still so grateful to be able to have a good nights sleep- something that had rarely happened back when he was in his father’s house.
Lucifer stirred slightly when Chase moved. He looked at him over his broad shoulder, yawning softly.
“Hey. Morning.”
“Good morning,” Chase smiled warmly at Lucifer. He ran a hand through his messy hair, trying to comb it slightly but he knew it was no use- his hair was always a bit of a mess after sleep.
Lucifer smiled back and sat up, stretching. “Did you have good dreams?” He asked this softly as he rose to get dressed for the day.
Chase paused for a second, “Well… I had one dream.” Maybe I should ask him now… “Lucifer…” He bit his lip, still hesitating if he should bring it up. Still worrying if he even wanted to know the answer.
