Soulmate au

Eden stepped out of the bathroom, walking back into the living room where Jack was sitting. “We’ll need to go get my car. At some point. Whenever is fine.” She said.

"True. Let's get it now so that's over with."

“Yeah. My place or my car first?” She asked, slipping her shoes on.

"Car."

“Okay. Then are you gonna drive yourself to my place after or should I meet up with you somewhere in like an hour or so?” She stood, heading to the door.

He shrugs. "Whatever is fine."

“…okay.” Eden walked to the door, waiting for Jack to come along. He was driving after all.

Jack gets up and grabs his keys.

Eden opened the door, stepping out of the way so he could lock it and lead the way.

He follows and locks the door. "Ready?"

“Yep!” Eden turned and began walking toward the car.

He goes to open the car door for her.

She slides into the seat, buckling up.

He smiles and kisses her cheek.

She smiles at him. It was like she couldn’t contain her emotions with him. He made her feel so much. As much as she loved that, it worried her that she’s lose it. But then she looked down at the bright red string tied around her finger, remembering that this was certain.

He goes to the driver's side and gets in. "Coffee shop right?"

“Pfff…I honestly don’t remember. Do you?”

"I think so…"

“Okay, let’s just go there and I’ll see if it’s there.” She checked her pockets to make sure she had her keys. Luckily, she did. She about gave herself a heart attack.

He nods and starts the car.

She fidgets with her fingers as they ride in silence. She was a little tired despite being awake for about an hour and half or so by then. She just thought…maybe if she just…closed her eyes….

He smiled at her. He looks back at the road.

Eden dreamed lightly as her mind remained active as she slept. Her head had slid to the window, and her mouth had fallen open. She new this is what happened when she fell asleep sitting up, so she didn’t mean to do it now in front of Jack. But alas, she was already asleep.

He laughs but let her sleep.

When she felt the car stop, Eden opened her eyes—and her mouth—and looked at Jack.

"Did you have a good nap?"

Eden blushed, smiling at him, “Yeah. I did.” She looked out the windows of the car, spotting her own. “Oh hey, there’s my car.” She unbuckled and opened the door, stepping out and closing it behind her.

He just stayed there frozen. "…Yeah…"

Eden bent down to peer through the window. She tapped on the glass, trying to get his attention.

He shook his head and stared at her.
