Eden nodded. “Yeah. I guess we all do.”
Soulmate au
'Our word is chaotic. How can we even survive this mess?'
Eden snorted, “Ain’t that the truth.”
He smiled. 'like if you hated your soulmate but your forced to be together?'
Eden faltered. She didn’t know if he was referring to them or not. “I feel like this whole soulmates thing is meticulous. You wouldn’t get paired with someone unless you worked together well, and…fit. I don’t know; maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic, but I feel like this has reason, y’know?”
'My friend was one actually. He never liked her and still doesn't to this day."
“Hmm…that’s…weird. And concerning. Maybe they found each other at the wrong time.”
'Possibility. Like I just don't care. a soulmate is a soulmate.'
“I agree.”
'guess that's something we have in common.'
“Plus the fact that we both do hipstery creative stuff.”
'True!' He wrote smiling. He seemed to like talking to her.
Eden giggled. “What did you order?” She asked, pointing to his drink.
'It's carmel macchiato.'
(Oh crap it’s my turn lol)
(I’m sorry)
(It's ok.)
“Ooh. Is it good? I usually get a chai latte. It reminds me of my mom, makes me feel close to home.”
He nods. 'I love it!'
“Do you ever try new ones?”
'I do. I just like this one the best.'
“Yeah. I try new drinks, but then I just don’t ever like them as much as my usual.” Eden looked outside, it was raining. She liked the rain.
'Rain! I love it when it rains. The emotion it brings out.' he wrote.
Eden’s face lit up as she read. “Yeah! I love it when it rains. It makes me feel nostalgic, but not towards anything in particular.”
'I know how you feel!' he grabs his sketchbook ad flip to a page that was of a rainy day
Eden studied the picture, “Oh, this is very nice. I like it a lot. It makes me feel cozy and comfortable, and…safe.” She looked up at him, smiling, studying the way his hair curled around his face, the way his eyes gleamed like they held secrets. She wanted to know him so badly. “I like you. I’m glad we finally ran into each other.”
'I am too! I just think it's a cliche of how we met.'
Eden rolled her eyes, maintaining a goofy smile, “I think it’s iconic. I’m such a sucker for cute romantic cliches that aren’t stupid. I think this was the perfect way to meet your soulmate. Think about it, at least there is a story to go with it.”
'True.' He laughed quietly.
“Do you have any plans for later today?”
