“Do you wanna hang more later, then? I have to run to work in a few minutes, but I’ll be off in just a few hours. But of course, you don’t have to.”

'Sounds like a plan!' He writes his number and hands it to her. 'Reverse the roles!'

Eden laughed, taking the slip of paper, folding it, and putting it in her pocket. She grabbed her bag and stood. “I’ll text you later.” She looked at the time. “Ooh! But I really gotta go! So see you later!”

He waves smiling like a dork.

She smiles and waves back as she walks out the door with her drink and her bag.

(Lol we can skip to later in the day if you want so we aren’t just going back and forth with our characters doing nothing)

Jack was watching tv waiting for a message from Eden..

After finally getting off work, Eden pulled out her phone and dug into her pocket for the phone number. With a sigh of relief, she pulled it found it and pulled it out, typing in the numbers.
She hit send and waiting for Jack’s reply.

Hey, it’s Eden! I’m finally off work. What’s up?

Oh. Hey Eden!

I haven’t gotten home yet, but when I do, it should be able to leave shortly after, or whatever. Any plans in mind?

Eden dropped her phone on her bed and got to tidying. She changed into a slightly nicer shirt, fixed her hair and re-touched her makeup. She felt so petty doing it but she continued anyway. She put dishes in the dishwasher, wiped down counter tops, and sprayed Febreeze because her home was not going to smell like death. Not today.

Jack drove to her house knocking on the door

Eden had just jostled the throw pillows into place when she heard the knock on her door. She walked over, smoothing her shirt and hair. She peeped through the whole for a moment to verify that it was in fact Jack, then opened the door with a smile.
“Hey, come on in!” She said, moving aside for Jack to enter.

He waved smiling brightly. He just realized he forgot his notebook so he uses the notes on his phone. 'Hey! Thanks for having me'

“Yeah, no problem!” Eden closed the door behind him. “Do you want anything to drink. Or eat, I guess…”

He shook his head. 'i'm good for now. Thanks for asking though'

“No problem.” She said sitting down on the couch, patting the cushion next her, signaling for Jack to join her.

Jack sits next to her smiling when he sees the string again.
