(yes, but there are many ways we can put this, for starters, What if Lucas' dad/family, are a family of Hunters? one of the things hunters view halfbloods as, are unnatural, and freaks, what if Lucas was supposed to have those same views? (that's just one of the several ways we could put this)

(hunters typically have some sort of magic of their own, so I doubt he'd have that perspective.)

(Not all of them, but it's a common thing. Like I said, Hunters don't usually have a hatred for magic, so he'd have to have a good reason. Believe it or not one of the true reasons they hunt Halfbloods is for power, which is another reason Skye is so heavily targeted, cause his species of wolf is one of the strongest, also, Hlafbloods Can be controlled indefinitely, in such a way that they can't fight it.)`

(Yep, and Lucas views are your choice, heck, maybe he does agree with it and we can use that for angst. Do note that hunters would stay hidden in the city, for the sake of non-magic users. Also, I'm going to play it as Lucas doesn't know, cause Skye is an unusual boi considering circumstances, so it's plausible Lucas won't recognize what he is.)

(Yeah. I feel like Lucas would think the wolf thing is a bit strange, but he's a pacifist. His morals wouldn't allow him to want anything dead, honestly. He can still hate people without necessarily wanting them to die, though (ie, his father))

(Yeah… the bad thing about Hunters is they don't often hunt to kill. At least, not in the case of a Halfblood. In that case, they hunt to harm, injure, and capture, then force into slavery. because Halfbloods are stronger than a Human or Wolf alone, and if they are skilled enough, they can fight one of each in a pair, (Half blood against a True wolf and a human.) and have a chance of winning.)

Lucas woke with a start at loud pounding on the door. It wasn't knocking; it sounded like someone was trying to break the door down. "S-Skye… I think someone's here…" He whispered, trying to shake Skye awake.

Skye grumbled, swatting his hand away quietly. But his eyes flew open when he heard the pounding. Mentally checking outside he tensed, fear flashing in his eyes. Quickly he moved Lucas off of him, and fumbled with the lock on the filing cabinet.

"W-What's going on? Ah!" Lucas jumped when the pounding got louder. I think they might be using an axe… the door is splintering. The door fell in and a few men ran in, pointing their guns at Lucas first since they hadn't seen Skye yet.

Skye got the cabinet over, pulling out a pair of curved swords. They were identical, and sheathed. his face firm he was quickly standing in front of Lucas, a low growl rising in his throat. "Lucas, I need you to not panick, okay?" he said, looking back at the other, "It'll be okay."

Lucas closed his hands into fists so that the sparks flying out of them would be less noticeable. However, his anxiety went through the roof when he saw his dad among the crowd. His knees felt weak and he couldn't stop himself from hyperventilating a bit. "What are you doing here, boy?!" His father yelled at him. Something in Lucas snapped, and now he felt angry. "I left! I know when I'm not wanted!" He sent some sort of light magic at his father, knocking him over. "S-Shit…" Lucas muttered, realizing what he'd done.

Skye looked back at him, noting the new information with a hint of fear in his eyes, both of and for Lucas. Suddenly a Hunter lunged for Skye, he dodged, using a burst of violet aura to bind that one to the floor, while using a whip to knock the others back. "We need to get out of here!" he told Lucas, heading for the door and beckoning for the other to follow.

Lucas ran after Skye, forming a weak forcefield around himself while he ran. Once he caught up with Skye, he expanded the shield so it covered both of them. The lasers from the hunters' guns bounced off the shield, but were steadily cracking it. "T-The forcefield won't hold up much longer! We… w-we need somewhere to hide!"

Skye grabbed his hand, strengthening the other's aura with his own, "Yes it will," he said, leading him down a series of alleyways, his Aura having repaired and strengthened the other's shield.

Lucas was glad he had adrenaline to fuel him, because he was losing energy fast. He stumbled and nearly fell several times from exhaustion alone. He could hear his father yelling about disowning him despite the distance between them, and he blinked tears from his eyes.

Skye held his hand tightly wishing he could get rid of that a-hole, suddenly he cast a portal in front of them leaping through it, and pulling Lucas into him as they crash landed on the floor of a dim, tent-like structure, with Skye ending up on the bottom, cushioning the fall for Lucas.

"W-Where are we? I know you said not to panic but I'm losing my shit right now…" Lucas was hyperventilating, unable to stop since he was mostly putting his effort into not crying.

Marco looked over the both of them, "Hunters?" he asked, looking down at Skye.
"Unfortunately…." said Skye, hugging the other and trying to soothe him. "It's okay, we're at Marco's hideout, we're safe…"

To force himself to stop hyperventilating, Lucas held his breath, which was mostly making him very lightheaded. "Hey Luke, you oka- wait, Skye, he's not breathing. Lucas, breathe! I would rather you hyperventilate than pass out."

Skye gave him a concerned look, Lucas please don't make yourself pass out, please.." he said softly.
