Soulmate(?) one on one (Closed)

Lucas hesitated before drawing in a few quick, shaky breaths. He hid his face in Skye's shoulder, his breathing closer to a normal rate. "M-My dad… he… h-he was there…" He tightened his grip on Skye, crying quietly.

(Hey Maybe Lucas didn't know about his dad being a Hunter?)
Skye tensed, hugging Lucas, "It's gonna be okay…" i hope

(Yeah he didn't lol)
"H-He wants us dead, doesn't he…?" I already knew he hates me, but trying to kill other people as well…

"No, that had nothing to do with you, nothing I promise…" he said, "He wants me for a different reason,"

"Why… w-why would he want you dead if not because of me?"

"He want's me dead because I'm only half human," he said, "They're wolf hunters, and their lot has been chasing me since I was nine.."

"So… y-you've met my dad before today?" Lucas asked quietly. Am I fully human? I know I can use magic, but I don't know what that means…

"I have no idea if I've encountered him before, I've never payed attention to specific faces, only on making sure I stayed alive…"

(Having magic doesn't necessarily mean he's not human.)

"I hope you haven't… h-he's a dick…" Lucas brushed some tears from his eyes. "Any man who abuses his own son couldn't possibly mind hurting someone he doesn't even know…"

"Their lot especially, half their fun is trying to hurt me, and others like me, and then watch." he said smugly,

Lucas shuddered, holding tighter to Skye. "Y-Yeah… I know the feeling…"

Skye sighed, "I hate that particular fact…" he muttered.

"He particularly likes to cut my back in a place I can't reach… I-I've got a lot of scars from that… since you don't really get the pain, I'm not sure if you noticed or not."

Skye frowned, pulling him closer.

Lucas winced again, but didn't mention being in pain. "It didn't happen when my mom was around… s-she'd stop him whenever he considered it."

Skye loosened his grip, "I wish I was around ages ago to help…"

"Me too… I may not have fallen so deep into this pit if I had a friend or other living family member…"

Skye sighed sadly, "no point in dwelling on the past," he said.

Lucas nodded, rubbing at his eyes. "T-They can't find us here, can they?"

"They probably will, though hopefully not anytime soon" he said.

Lucas sighed quietly. "I just wish we could get some peace, you know?"

Skye laughed, "Like that'll ever happen."

"Probably not… but wouldn't it be nice? You and I could just live a normal life." Lucas was quiet for a moment. "What if we ran away?"

"Where to?" Asked Skye, open to the idea.

"I-I dunno… anywhere's better than here. We could get away from the hunters, my dad… everything."

"But where would we go?" Asked Skye.

"Another city where there aren't hunters? Do those exist?"

"I don't know" said Skye thoughtfully.

"Either way, I'm glad to go anywhere that's far away from my dad. And in a new city, we'd have a clean slate. No one would know who or what we are."
