Soulmate(?) one on one (Closed)

Lucas woke up the next morning with Skye beside him in wolf form. He was startled at first, but relaxed when he remembered who the wolf was.

Skye had padded back in about an hour before at Marco's pleading, curling up again Lucas protectively.

Lucas hesitated before petting Skye. I hope this doesn't offend him or anything… He scratched behind the wolf's ears gently.

Skye subconsciously moved closer, his head tilted towards the other's fingers, his soft fur nearly enveloping them.
Marco came back in a few moments later, "I hope you're okay with not stopping…" he said when he saw the other.

Lucas sat up quickly, his face flushed, but he didn't move his hand. "H-He, uh… He likes it…"

"Bro, a wolf, is like a giant fluffy puppy, only more dangerous when mad," said Marco, "What you're doing is gonna have him on cloud nine, and he won't let you stop until he says so."

"…Shit. Well he's asleep right now, so maybe he won't noti- ah!" Lucas tried to remove his hand, but quickly put it back when Skye growled.

Marco laughed, "I warned you"
Skye opened one eye, "I suggest you take his advice…. he said sleepily"

Lucas continued petting Skye nervously. "P-Please don't hurt me…"

"he's not gonna hurt you" said Marco, "Though he might move to lie on top of you and stay there until he gets bored"

"I don't want him to get mad at me…" Lucas scratched behind Skye's ears again. "And laying on me would probably hurt."

"I'm not gonna hurt you," huffed Skye, having scooted as close as possible, and practically laid his head in the other's lap.

Lucas blushed a bit more, chills going down his spine. He moved his hand down to Skye's back, still petting him. He used to have a dog he could communicate with, so he knew how to pet dogs in a way that made them feel really good.

Skye looked like he was in absolute paradise at that, completely relaxed.
"I don't know if it's cause you're soulmates? but you have him zonked…" commented Marco.

"I-I used to have a dog… it may be because I have magic, but I was actually able to communicate with my dog. He really helped after my dad, uh… you know. It really sucked when he died. Wait, is it normal for humans to be able to talk to you guys in wolf form?"

"He's the Half wolf, I'm a shifter, I can shift into almost any form." said Marco, "And his species of Wolf is sentient, otherwise he wouldn't exist, so yeah,"

"Hmm…" Lucas started rubbing Skye's belly, remembering his dog had really liked that. "We're leaving soon, right?"

Skye flopped over in pure bliss.
"uhmm…. maybe once Skye's coherent again…" said Marco, laughing.

"Alrighty." Lucas smiled softly, glad that Skye was happy despite everything else sort of having gone to shit.

"I think if he were a cat he'd be purring like crazy" said Marco, watching the other.

"Probably so…" Lucas continued petting Skye. "Wonder when he'll let me stop?"

Skye hummed in contentment, before rolling to lean against him.

(Tfw Lucas is still kinda attracted to Skye when he's in wolf form lol)
Lucas's face flushed a bit again, but he didn't stop petting Skye. He knew the wolf wouldn't be happy with him if he stopped. "S-Skye, we have to leave soon, just to let you know…"

Skye huffed, "Fiiine…." he grumbled, waiting for the other to stop.

Lucas cautiously stopped petting Skye, holding his hand away from him to make sure he wouldn't growl before getting up.

Skye rolled to his paws as the other moved away, shaking himself out as he got to his paws. "I suppose we're goin now?"

"Mhmm. Do we need to grab anything or do anything before we go?"

Skye shifted, and picked up the sheathed blades from earlier, slipping them on his back in an 'x' pattern. "I just need these.."

"Alrighty. I don't own anything, so I think I'm good to go… ready when you are."

"First step is getting out of the city." said Skye, "And we're all on foot for that part." said Marco.
