(that absolutely fine, do n't worry about it.)
She let out a bark in thanks and curled into a tighter ball, shielding her eyes from the ground with her tail
The queen and her dragon (open)
Drake made sure to keep steady the entire time he flew back to the castle. He let out those rumbles occasionally and eventually, they were landing gently in the palace gardens.
She peeked out from her tail and sighed in relief, standing and stretching, she jumped down from his back and walked to his front. Shifting into her normal form, she shook her head to the maides who were running up to them "It's alright," she reasured.
" I'm sorry for doing that, wasn't the smartest thing to do. But thank you for allowing me to ride with you, that part I enjoyed very much." She said to him with a slight smile.
"Like I said before, you're allowed to do what you want. If you'll excuse me, I have to attend to a couple things." She bowed and left the garden, smiling and nodding to the maides she passed
Drake shifted and stumbled a little after, but as quick as she was there, she was gone. Sighing, he collapsed on the grass and let out a long groan in annoyance.
"I WILL NOT SUBHECT MY PEOPLE INTO A TIME OF WAR FOR A LITTLE ARGUNENT YOU AND YOUR ENEMIES ARE HAVING MILES AWAY." Val snarled "HOW DARE YO COME HERE AND TELL ME WHAT I MUST DO TO ENSURE MY KINGDOMS SAFETY?" Val stood from her throne, her dress drowning gracefully around her as she walked up to the king "get out…now."
The shouting from the throne room caught Drake's attention and he headed there when the shouting was Val's voice. Oh no…
"You think you're so powerful, Queen Valtira. Your own king left you. One you claimed who loved you so much. It does not matter what your people think of you, whether they respect you or care for you. You will never be the same as them, no matter what you offer them." The king left before he could face the rage of the Fae Queen. Her face went rigid with anger but said nothing "Your words mean nothing to me." She muttered and turned back to her throne. sitting down and placing her head on a hand. A maid came up to her and offered her water
"Thank you Clarise." Val said kindly, though her voice was strained with controlled anger
Drake watched the other king leave and felt a guilt settle in his stomach. He pushed it away, knocked on the door and entered, "Everything okay in here?" He asked, casually slipping his hands into his pockets.
He pulled herself and nodded to Clarise who opened the door for Drake "yeah, everything's fine, just issues with my neighbors." she waved a hand to the door "people are fun!"
Drake nodded a little, "I can sense the sarcasm from here."
She smiled a bit despite her moon "whaaaat? what do you mean….that's not sarcasm…"
Drake huffed a laugh, "I must be hearing things then."
She shook her head "Must be." she glanced up past Drake to the ma standing in front of her door. Her eyes narrowed, suddenly turning wolfish "what are you doing here." She growled
"To see you, my beautiful queen." The man bowed lowly and smirked, "Have you thought of my offer yet?"
"I don't know if you can tell, Liren, but I'm busy at the moment." she stood from her throne
Drake looked to the man and gave him a two fingered saute before looking down, "Apparently I have to be in my other form to be noticed now…" He muttered.
Liren turned to the man "and you are….?" He asked, not recognizing Drake
"He's none of your concern, now leave." Val said from her position
Drake feigned hurt and placed a hand on his chest, "You're Majesty, that is no way to talk to your guests," He winked at her before turning to the other male, "Buuuut, you heard her, she told you to piss off but the nicer version."
She fought down the blush that rose to her cheeks as Drake winked at her and turned her attention back to Liren "leave before it gets serious." She growled.
Liren bowed to her "as you wish my beautiful queen." Liren gave a look of desire and turned on his heal "you don't deserve her." He whispered to Drake as he passed
"Neither do you!" Drake called back as he gave him a two fingered salute and watched his retreating figure leave. The comment hurt, he had to admit but he pushed that hurt away.
As Liren left, Val sat down and sighed "I'm so sorry about him, one of the suitors I apparently have." She muttered "again I'm sorry, I hadn't known he was coming." She massaged her temple, trying calm her nerves "thank you,"
Drake shrugged, ruffling his hair a little, "It's fine, Val, no need to apologise and no need to thank me."
"too late, I already have. You know I don't take my words back." She stood with a sigh and stepped down the stairs "is there something you needed? or did you come because of the yelling?" She smiled softly
He held up two fingers, "Option two," He shrugged, "You can yell quite loud, you know."
She nodded "I like to think of it a gift." She sighed with exhaustion "I'm heading to the gardens, to relax. Wish to join me?"
He shrugged, "Sure, I have nothing better to do."
She nodded and headed to the doors. "For the record, the room has high ceilings, voices echo throuout the room." She walked down the hall, nodding in greetings to the maids and heading outside.
"Ah, so you didn't need to shout." Drake grinned and followed.
She shrugged "when it comes to talking to Philip, all you can do is yell. The man doesn't know where he stands, thinks he owns everyone and everything. He needs to wake up to the real world and quick, unless he wants him and his kingdom to die."
"Harsh words," Drake nodded once, "He must be a pretty bad fella then."
"You don't even know the half of it." she shook her head and sighed and opened the doors to the outside, walking along the path. "They assume thing they know nothing about and make choices based off lies."
"Sounds like most people in politics," He kicked at a rock on the path with a small sigh, "Some people need to learn when not to be an asshole."
