Vaughn woke up in the middle of the night. He sat up, finding himself in a sweat. He rested his head in his hands for a moment, breathing a bit heavily.
She glanced at the knife on the table again. People faked their deaths all the time to get out of tight situations. Maybe she could too…

Vaughn slid up out of bed. He rubbed at his eyes tiredly and went into the joint bathroom. He leaned against the counter and turned the cold water on, splashing his face off a bit.
She shook the thoughts away. No, that was stupid. She had to protect her reputation. If she was going to leave, she'd go out with a bang.

Vaughn dried his face off with the towel. He met his own grey eyes in the mirror for a long moment.
She felt an icy cold presence around her. She shuddered, instantly recognizing it. "Getting out of this town? Like all the others?" The voice hissed. "I don't listen to you." "Yes you do."

Vaughn glanced at the silhouette in the mirror behind him. He clenched his jaw a bit and ran his hand over his face.
"You do what I tell you to." "Shut up." "Like a perfect little pet." "Leave me alone." "You are mine to control." "Get out of my head!"
pets
Vaughn glared at the figure. He igored its words as he went back into the bedroom and laid down.
The voice kept talking, growing louder and louder until she popped two more schizophrenia pills, quieting the voice down.

Vaughn rested under the covers. He shut his eyes and did his best to fall asleep again.
She sighed heavily. It wasn't her fault she was crazy. Now the one person she was interested hated her like everyone else did.

Vaughn eventually fell asleep after a few more minutes. He was back to hugging the pillow to his chest.
She didn't. She couldn't. She knew better than to try. Her insomnia would never let her.
pets
Vaughn slept soundly, now. He sighed as he shifted a bit.
She just stared at the ceiling in thought, knowing she wouldn't fall back asleep anytime soon.

(Do you just want to do a time skip to the morning?)
(Yeah sure)

(Okay)
Vaughn woke up bright at early. He sat up slowly, running a hand through his messy hair. He sighed as he rubbed at his eyes, still trying to wake up.
She was still staring at the ceiling, lost in her thoughts.

Vaughn slowly got out of bed. He got dressed and looked out a window. He sighed softly and left his bedroom.
After 20 more minutes of just staring at the ceiling, she left the apartment, deciding that a walk around the city might help to clear her head.

Vaughn went down the stairs and into the kitchen. There was a note on the counter that said Ms.Beck had taken her son to school.
Her cuts stung when the wind blew through but she didn't turn back. Her mind wouldn't let her. She just wandered the streets aimlessly.

Vaughn didn’t want to go out, but he needed something. He needed to get this family something to express his gratitude. So he walked out of the house. It would be quick. There was a grocery store just half a mile away.
She stepped into the small grocery store, intending to grab a drink and leave when she spotted a familiar figure out the corner of her eye. Why am I not surprised that Vaughn's here? Of course he was here when she looked her worst.

Vaughn didn’t look too put together either. He felt strange, not being in his usually nice dress. His hair was a mess as well, and he appeared tired. He stepped over to the card area, and picked one after looking for a minute.
She grabbed a random something from the line of freezers and went to check out. Luckily, the cashier was her old friend Taylor. "Yikes, what happened to you?" "A lot." Taylor scanned her up and down. "You're bleeding." "I'm aware." "You've been cutting again." "Yep." "I'm telling, all the self harm will kill you one of these days." "You say that like anyone in this town would miss me."
pets
Vaughn thought the card would be fine. He stepped into line behind a couple people and waited. He did his best to fix his slightly tangled hair.
There were a couple lines open, Roxie and Taylor being at the farthest left one. "I need to get out of here." "Not enough time has passed, they'll catch you." "Then let them!"
