“Insanity doesn’t look too hot on you either,” Vaughn snapped as he walked away. He went to the exit and headed back onto the street.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She smirked to herself. "If he thinks this is insanity then he's got another thing coming." She headed out after him, heading towards home.

Where should Vaughn go? He couldn’t go home, she would go there possibly. After a minute of thought, he took back alleys and such to a suburban neighborhood.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She arrived at her apartment and almost instantly craved the cold numbness that her pills gave her. She couldn't help herself, she broke into her cabinet and took three insanity pills. She knew she shouldn't but hey, it was the self doses that got her through things.

Vaughn walked up to a nice house and knocked on the door. A young woman opened it and seemed surprised when she saw him. “Ms.Beck. I’d like to cash in that favow now…”

@Elder-God-Jacks347

It took a couple minutes before the chemicals kicked in and took control of her lowered mental health, filling it with a fake one but it was enough for her to be considered somewhat stable.

The woman let him inside. “Ben is already asleep. What is it?” She asked, leading him to sit on the couch. Vaughn explained everything to her that had happened.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She headed back out, making sure to lock the door before leaving. Already she felt so much better, the cool night air calming her jacked up nerves. She was crazy, yes, but not by choice.

Ms. Beck gave him a sympathetic look. “Of course you can stay. You saved me and my son from my husband. I am so greatful for that,” she said with a smile, and Vaughn forced a small one in response.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She ducked down an alley and followed the familiar trail until she reached a group of guys. They all looked up at her, some smiled, some just looked confused. The leader stood and grinned, walking over to her. "Hey Pop Rocks. Been a while. What brings you back to my neck of the woods?" "Luke, I've got a problem." "That's nothing new." She glared at the black haired boy. "Alright, what is it?" "Got a new criminal that thinks I'm a psycho but even worse, he might turn me in."

Ms. Breck led him up to the guest bedroom. “I’ll be down the hall if you need anything,” she told him, and he nodded before she left and shut the door behind her. He sighed softly and pulled off his shirt.

(She has a million nicknames, I just need to create secondary characters to call her them)
Luke was your typical bad boy gang leader. Only 25, a year older than Roxanne, he'd fought his way to the top with brute force. He was 5'9", muscular, had black hair and sparkling green eyes with tan skin probably a shade below milk chocolate riddled with scars. He had a permanent smirk on his lips that made girls melt and he'd been Roxie's biggest help with crimes since she and Jace had first started out. "Right. What's his name?" "Vaughn." "What, no last name?" "Didn't catch that part."

Vaughn stripped down to his boxer-briefs. He looked at himself in a mirror that was in the room, at all the different scars. He huffed and grabbed a tissue, wiping the blood from the cut on his arm.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

He wrapped his arm around her waist and turned back to the group. "To those of you who are new here, this is Roxanne Marx." The new guys gasped. "Like…the Roxanne Marx?" "The one and only." She smirked lightly. "I thought you were dead!" "Everyone did. Nope. I'm still here." "Anyway! We've got a new mission! Take out this guy threatening her."

Vaughn would be alright. He had delt with this thing before. He could end this easily. He was smart, he knew what to do. But for now, he needed to catch up on rest and get a proper meal in the morning. Then he could pick his things up and prepare.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"When do we go?" "Tonight. Can't have him get too comfortable." "And when we get him?" "Kill on sight." "You got it Pop Rocks." He kissed her forehead with a smile. She just rolled her eyes, a slight grin tugging at her lips.

Vaughn glanced around the bedroom. He had stayed here before. He remembered the first time he was there. Willard was the one who gave him the families to help. When he got to the house, Ms.Beck had bruises on her sides and one on her face. Her 10 year old son, Ben, was also bruised a bit. All from the dad/husband. They had allowed him to stay there. One night when the husband came home, while Ms. Beck and Ben were out, Vaughn attacked the larger man and killed him. The family had been so greatful that the husband was gone.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Roxanne glanced around at the ragtag group of guys, all staring at her like she was some goddess. She forced her eyes away. She used to help people, a killer yes, but a silent hero too. Then the psychiatrist caught her. Convinced her that she was sick, that she needed help, that this wasn't okay. And like an idiot, she'd listened. She didn't blame herself for her insanity. She blamed the asylum staff. They'd taken a poor innocent girl doing her best to help and turned her into a monster. A test subject. Just another number on a screen. Now she was treated like a hero but not for the same reason. She was praised by the wrong people, the ones she cared about scared of her. So she hid behind her insanity, too hurt and scared to show that she was just broken and didn't know how to fix herself or who to ask for help. She didn't have anyone except herself.

Vaughn pulled his gaze away from the reflection in the mirror. He didn’t feel like he was really in his body. He was so detatched. He still saw the 13 year old that went into the kitchen, seeing the body parts scattered across the tile. The blood flooding the floor thickly in places. He sighed as he threw the bloodied tissues away.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Roxie? You okay?" She snapped back into reality. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just find him." She slunk back through the alleys to her apartment, curling up on the couch to think like she always did.

Vaughn went back to the bed and got onto it. He felt something under the pillow and tilted his head up and reached under it. He took out a small, loaded pistol. Ms.Beck said she would be getting more guns. He guessed this was one of them.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She pulled the blade out of her sleeve, watching her reflection. She was desperate for some type of relief so she gently placed the blade to her wrist and swiped it across, sighing in relief at the sting. She added 6 more cuts until she passed out.

Vaughn eventually shut his eyes. As anxious as he felt, he needed to rest. So, after a few minutes of laying with his eyes closed, he fell asleep.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

It didn't take long for the nightmares to start. The inner demons and dark memories combing into a hellscape of her own design.

Vaughn had slept well for once. He snored softly occasionally, hugging one of the extra pillows to his chest..

@Elder-God-Jacks347

The blood that dripped down her arm wasn't bright red like Vaughn's. It was dark and thick, more like a paste. Too many pills and bad deals turned her blood into the perfect ink.

Vaughn was still asleep. He shifted a bit in his sleep, sighing softly.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She curled up on herself, kind of wishing someone was there. She was always alone and because she was scared of other people hurting her, she pushed them away, including Vaughn. The guy she'd kinda been into thought she was insane.

Vaughn’s fingers twitched in his sleep. He had always been the restoess, easy to wake type of sleeper. His lips parted slightly, and he let out another sharp breath.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

She woke slowly and took two more insomnia pills. She looked through the army of bottles. Some of them weren't even for her, they were for her sister, she just never had the heart to throw them out.
