She grinned slyly. "Oops…"

"yeah oops." he smiled at her with the same childish playfulness as when they were kids

"Hey, it's not my fault you got in the way that one time!" she protested, shoving his shoulder.

"And who was the one suggesting we practice using our element?"he looked at her in accusation and bumped her palyfully with his shoulder

"So that you could learn to calm yourself down!" she retorted. "I have taught you well."

"yes you have." He bowed and smiled "welp class is almost over, now what?"

"I dunno. I kinda don't want to go back…" she said, thinking aloud.

"good, I wasnt going back anyways." He smiled and started running down the hall

Her eyes lit up and she chased him. "Where are you going?" she asked.

"no idea! Just outta here!" He yelled over his shoulder as he made a b-line for the doors

Marina grabbed his arm. "Cas… remember what happened the last time?"

He stopped "yeah I do, but if I get anywhere near Jackson, it's going to make that look like a campfire compared to the volcano." He looked down at her hand on his arm and smiled slightly "you stay, I'll be fine on my own until I find you afterschool."

"Oh no," she said firmly. "If you go, I go too."

"think they'll let you do that? One more time you skip class and your grounded." He looked worriedly at her then back at the classroom. "If I stay, will you promise not to skip class?"

Marina turned pink. "It's, uh… It's fine. You can go. I'll stay," she said, heading back to the classroom.

"you sure you can endure one more class with that kid?" He asked

Marina turned to face him and nodded with a small smile. "I'll manage."

He hesitated but nodded "mind getting me the homework?" He asked with a returned smile

"Not a problem," she replied with a wink.

He smirked and opened the doors "thanks!"

She watched him go and turned to go back to class. Once she reached the classroom, she sat back down and pretended to work.

He loved being free, a fire should never be contained and neither should he. He ran to the park on 12th Street and sat in there spot, making sure no one was around. He opened his hand and ignited a dancing flame, morphing it into her.

"Where's Temper?" Jackson asked, using his favorite derogatory name for Cas.
Marina gritted her teeth.

Cas erupted in flames in a sudden burst of emotion tell her, just tell her, what could go wrong?

Marina gathered up Cas's things along with hers and got homework for him as well. She sat out in the lobby, watching the students walk and talk as she waited for him.

Checking the time on his phone, he realized that he was going to be late to pick up Marina and texted her

He sprinted back to the school

She got his text and sighed. Then she sat up worriedly. What if something was wrong.
