There was no response.

Issac got up to investigate searching the bedroom first "you better no be messing with me" he said

Again, there was no one there.

Issac searched the whole house leaving the garage for last

When he was in the garage, he could hear a faint scratching sound from outside the door.

Issac opened the door and was looking at the ground expecting a cat to come in

Sure enough, the sleek, black-furred cat slipped in past his ankles and meowed.

Issac closed the door then investigated the cat to make sure it was Eve

The cat's amber eyes studied him, and it tilted its head as if to say What are you looking at?

Issac couldn't tell if it was Eve or not so he closed the door that connected the house and garage leaving the car enclosed in there knowing if it was Eve she'd open the door

The cat appeared to roll its eyes, and Eve shifted back into herself. "Do you know how much energy that takes?" she asked, crossing her arms over her exposed chest. "I try not to shift back right away."

"well I geuss you shouldn't have closed the door behind you when you decided to roam the town" he said

Eve rolled her eyes. "Would you have rather I left it wide open?" she asked, arching her eyebrows.

"no but you can leave it cracked so you can claw it open" he said

Eve huffed. "Whatever." Her dark hair was pulled back into a braid she must've put it in before she left.

"Just… Next time leave me a note when you leave so I don't freak out" he said and then went to hug her

Eve was shocked as she hugged back. "I didn't think you'd be so concerned…"

"well if you've noticed my condition I'm not exactly fully healed Soo… I kinda need you" he said

Eve gently kissed his jaw. "I'm sorry."

"it's fine just tell me next time alright" he said hugging her tighter and then let go

"It's only because I didn't want to wake you, but I'll leave a note," she promised.

"ok I'm holding you to that" he said

Eve snorted. "What would I gain by not leaving a note next time?"

"that's classified" he said

She arched her eyebrows, not having expected an answer. "Oh?"

"you won't get it out of me" he said

"There's no chance?"

"depends on what you do to get it out of me" Issac said teasing her

Eve approached him with slow steps. "Does it now?" she purred.

"what do you mean by 'does it now?' " he said
