“That’s a lot… I can’t wait to try one.”
Jay laughed with Eugene, gently picking up the scoop and grinning. “I got this, unless you’d like to show me~” he teased, winking playfully. “Mind passing the dough?”

“That’s a lot… I can’t wait to try one.”
Jay laughed with Eugene, gently picking up the scoop and grinning. “I got this, unless you’d like to show me~” he teased, winking playfully. “Mind passing the dough?”
Eugene winked back as he poured the dry ingredients into the wet. "I will once I mix the dry with the wet ingredients. It'll just take a second." He kept the bowl on the counter and mixed the quickly thickening dough. After a minute or two of constant mixing, he finished and handed Jay the bowl. He quickly washed his hands again and went over next to Jay. He started grabbing pieces of dough about the same size as the cookie scoop and placing them on the cookie sheet with parchment paper on it.

Jay waited patiently, wetting his lips when the dough was completed. He giggled excitedly and began scooping it out, setting each ball of dough into the cookie sheet with a careful precision.
He had to admit, he was really impressed by Eugenes ability to just scoop it out without needing a guide or help.
"How are you doing?" He asked, pausing his scooping of the dough to look at Jay. Eugene was going a little slower than Jay since he was always making sure the dough he scooped out was of similar size to Jay's. He usually used the cookie scooper so it was quite a bit easier even for Eugene.
group
"Me? Oh pretty well, this scoop is really useful. I'm surprised it works so well." He flashed a grin. "It's kinda fun, I'm not going to lie. I just hope it tastes okay. I mean I measured it all out correctly and I made sure I did but I'm still afraid I messed something up." He murmured, laughing softly.
"It'll taste just fine! I sometimes botch up some things and they taste fine. Usually, it's okay to mess up a thing or two. Unless it's way too much or too little of something. And if something that catastrophic happened then I would have seen it or you would have probably told me." Eugene smiled and went back to scooping the dough by hand.
group
“That-“ he fell silent, frowning slightly. “That is right actually. Well, then I hope we both enjoy these cookies.” He smiled brightly, aiding the other by scooping out more cookie dough.
He stood back when they were finished, admiring their work with a proud smile. The satisfaction of making cookie dough felt just as good as the satisfaction of finishing up a large piece.
Eugene went to the sink to wash his hands from the cookie dough. He then went next to Jay, a satisfied smile on his lips. "Do you wanna put the pans in the oven or should I?" He asked, turning his head to the side to look at the other.
group
“Ah, it’d be best if you did it. I’m quite clumsy.” Jay ran his fingers along his own sleeve, brushing flour off his shirt. “As you’ve probably heard me fall about a million times in my room.”
He chuckled at that, staring down at the floor in front of him. “Its a wonder I can even hold a paintbrush.”
(I know I haven't replied for a couple days, but I also won't reply for the next week, possibly two. I've been having trouble replying to things and I've been out of it for a few days. So yeah, I'll be inactive for a week, possibly. Sorry about that.)
group
(You’re alright! I completely understand! Mental health comes above everything else. If you’re not feeling good then make sure you take a break and take care of yourself. Remember to eat and rest, okay? Take care!)
((Aaahhhhhhhh!! So did I kinda forget about Notebook? Maybe. That took a lot longer than I ever thought, I sincerely apologize. I won't be super active still though, at least not as active as I was before the unexpected hiatus. Once again, I'm very sorry about that.))
group
(Nah you’re okay! I understand that! Life gets tough and sometimes unexpected hiatuses do us a lot of good. Take your time.”
(Thank you so very much! I'll try to reply soon enough :)
group
(No problem! Reply when you can and have a wonderful day or night!)
(Thank you again lol :)
Eugene giggled contagiously. "Ah yes, the falls. I have definitely heard them, but I bet the people below us heard them even more." He said, taking to cookie pans of the counter, opening the oven with his foot since his hands were full. With a bright smile, Gene shoved the pans into the oven and started the timer. "And now!… We wait."
group
(No probs!! Be safe!)
Jay had to cover his mouth he was laughing so hard. “Ah they’ve called the manager or whoever runs this place multiple times on me. I can’t help it if I’m naturally clumsy.” He mused, watching Eugene with curiosity. “How long do we wait?”
(You too! <3)
"Exactly 17 minutes. No more, no less. In the meantime, what shall we do?" Eugene asked with a smile as he looked over to Jay. Not more than a minute later, he started grabbing the dirty dishes and rinsing them a little and putting them in the sink. "I'll take care of those later."
group
(Thanks! <3)
"That's a good question. Wanna get to know each other a little bit better? I'm interested in what else you'd like to do." Jay beamed at Eugene, leaning against the counter. "I guess I really haven't tried to get to know you too well. I'd like to, especially if we're living together, you know?"
"Sounds like a plan to me. But how? I'm bad at ice-breakers and stuff." Eugene went around the counter next to Jay. He hoisted himself up onto the counter, sitting on the edge. "We're so weird though, you know? We could have known each other very well and been friends all year, but no. We had to be the antisocial people we are and not even say anything more than 'hi'. Better wayy late than never, I guess."
group
"Hmm… I'm sure we'll find a way. I'm bad at them too." He chuckled softly, running a hand through his hair. It was a nervous tic of his. "We really are weird, but I'll have you know you intimidated me. I have a fear of attractive people." He teased, grinning slyly. "Wonder what they call that anyways, the fear of people attractive to you. Is that just a basic knowledge of who's in your league and who isn't?"
Eugene smiled shyly. He never got complimented this much. "Are you hitting on me? Already? I would have waited at least 24 hours before hitting on you." He giggled, teasing back. His legs swung back and forth, hanging over the counter.
group
"Maybe I am. Maybe I'm not. I am stating facts, however. I do find you attractive, if that counts towards anything, I am shameless with that." He laughed softly and flashed the most charming smile he could muster. It was a shame he was so awkward, as it didn't come out too well.
"It counts towards my happiness and that means a lot. Thank you. If this counts as anything, you are quite attractive as well. If I'm being brutally honest, it's not your conventional type of attractiveness, it's something more refined, like sour foods or coffee. Some people love it and some people aren't a fan of it. I, however, am a fan of both of the things I mentioned." Eugene thought about what he was saying and laughed at himself. That was total nonsense.
group
Jay laughed, standing up straight and moving to grab himself a cup of water. "I'm honored to be considered a refined taste, you know. It kind of boosts my confidence. I thought I was just ugly, maybe I'm just refined." He laughed at himself and gently nudged Eugene. "Thanks again, it really does mean a lot."
"You're very welcome. I'm glad to boost your confidence, I count that as a personal win." Eugene smiled and grabbed the water cup out of jay's hands, taking a sip and quickly handing it back. He giggled before sliding off the counter. "I'm gonna change into something more comfortable, be back in a jiffy."
group
He blinked as Eugene took his water, blushing lightly as he was handed back the cup. He laughed gently, turning to hide his face and the large grin that had spread across his face. "A-alright, I'll see you in a little bit. Don't be gone too long. I don't know what to do with cookies!" He giggled, taking a quick sip from the water again.
Eugene dashed to hir room, closing the door behind him. He, very quickly, changed out of his clothes and into high-waisted black sweatpants and an almost crop-top deep purple tee shirt. Only a couple minutes had passed before he was back in the kitchen, glancing at the timer on the oven. He smiled at Jay and returned to his seat on the counter.
group
"Looking good." Jay teased playfully. He flashed a bright smile and stretched out his arms. "You look good in purple, use that information wisely." He hummed, setting his cup down. "Yes I am a shameless flirt, but again, I'm telling you all truths." He hummed, glancing at the oven. "Thank you for this, though. I'm actually having a lot of fun."
"That parcel of information, I actually knew. But, nonetheless, it's really nice to hear it from someone besides my mom. And I can tell we're gonna feed off each other because your shameless flirting paired with my physical and more touchy nature is gonna get us far… somehow" Gene grinned and turned his head to see Jay. "And I'm having fun as well. Being isolated, even from your roommate only gets you so far."
