Lucas laughed, shaking his head.
“We should do the shark one when the baby gets bigger,” he said to her. “We could re-enact Baby Shark.”

“Well, I’ll be big for a while, so we could just do both,” Ashley chuckled, smiling at him softly.
Lucas shrugged a little.
“I don’t really like you calling yourself fat,” he frowned. “You have a tiny human growing in your belly. You won’t be ‘fat.’”

Ashley’s nose twitched as she looked at him for a moment. “Okay… Sure, Lucas. It was just a joke, though.”

“Oh,” Lucas blinked. “Sorry, I don’t think I have that great of a sense of humor.”

(It’s kind of… something she does when something bothers her a little, like the way Lucas said he didn’t like her calling herself fat. She wasn’t being completely serious, and she thinks it’s fine to call herself fat if she has a giant belly from being pregnant.)
“It’s okay,” Ashley said softly, offering him a small smile. “Are you almost done over there?”

Lucas nodded.
“Yup, I’m done,” I said to her. “Do you want some? We’ve got other flavors, too.”

Lucas nodded.
“Yup, I’m done,” I said to her. “Do you want some? We’ve got other flavors, too.”

“No, I’m good. A bowl of ice cream might be nice, though,” Ashley said, giving him a hopeful grin.
Lucas laughed.
“Coming right up, miss,” he winked at her before grabbing a bowl, scooping ice cream in it before he looked at Ashley. “Would you like some sprinkles with that?”

“Hm… Not this time. Do we have chocolate syrup, though?” Ashley wondered, her grin widening as she watched her boyfriend get her the frozen treat.
Lucas scrunched his nose.
“Chocolate syrup over strawberry ice cream?” He repeated, scrunching his nose. “You like that?”

Ashley shrugged. "Dunno, but I'm about to find out," she declared with a chuckle.
Lucas shook his head and muttered something under his breath before he did what his girl wanted him to do.
Once he was done, he handed the bowl to Ashley.
“Enjoy the poison,” he muttered under his breath, taking a seat next to her.

Ashley scrunched her nose up and stuck her tongue out at him. "I will, thank you," she said haughtily before taking a big spoonful. She blinked and glanced down at it before shrugging and continuing to eat it.
Lucas looked horrified.
“You like it?” He exclaimed, scrunching his nose. “Goodness, pregnancy cravings are weird like they say!”

Ashley sighed and gave him an unamused look. “Have you never had a chocolate-dipped strawberry? Because she hays basically what this is. In ice cream form.”
Lucas wrinkled his nose.
“I didn’t even like that,” he said, shaking his head.

Ashley stick her bottom lip out at him. “Doesn’t mean you should make fun of your pregnant girlfriend,” she pouted, though her eyes glittered teasingly.
Lucas cleared his throat.
"Sorry, sorry," he looked away immediately. "Didn't mean to make fun of you, my dear girlfriend."

“Don’t worry about it, babe,” Ashley chuckled softly, leaning over to kiss his cheek. “I’m messing with you.”
Lucas ruffled her hair fondly.
"So, what do you want to do today? You wanna go out and stuff?"

Ashley hummed with a mouthful of ice cream and curled up closer to him. She swallowed before answering, “We could go buy maternity clothes for me and stuff for the baby?”
Lucas hummed.
"Sounds good, Ash," he grinned. "We'll leave once you finish your ice cream."
