(Of course he doesn’t… Lol. Does Eden?)
“Well, I think we have peanut butter because I like it, but we need celery and raisins,” Ashley mused.

“Well, I think we have peanut butter because I like it, but we need celery and raisins,” Ashley mused.
(She avoids it. XD She’s never had it before.)
Lucas nodded.
“Oh, right, we need to get some groceries, too, right?”
(Ooh… That could be interesting if Sterling convinced her to try some. Lol.)
Ashley blinked and tried to think through what they had at home. “Yeah, actually. There are a few things we need.”
(Definitely. xD)
"Then let's get them," Lucas said to her, taking a turn to drive to the convenient store.
“I wonder what Sterling will think when we send them that package,” Ashley mused. “Think he’ll be as shocked as Eden?”
Lucas suddenly snickered at an idea.
“What if we send him one, too?” He grinned. “‘Uncle.’ He will be one eventually, anyway.”
“We’ll just get them a box of stuff with things hinting at it,” Ashley chuckled softly.
Lucas parked his car and grinned at his girlfriend.
“Well, whatever it is, it’s going to be great.”
Ashley grinned back and leaned over to peck his lips lightly. “Most definitely.”
(Skip? If yes, to when?)
(Hm… A couple of weeks; their appointment?
your turn)
(Ugh, okay, fine. I'll post in a while.)
(Okay.)
Lucas was pacing nervously as he waited for Ashley to get ready for her appointment. He’d waited days for this day to come, and now he was too nervous.
He couldn’t wait see his beautiful child, but he was far too nervous to even think straight.
At this rate, he was going to burn a hole in the ground.
(Ahh I’m so excited about the baby)
(Me, too!!
(So am I~!)
Ashley chuckled as she watched Lucas pacing. She pulled her white hoodie on over her pale pink T-shirt before walking over to him.
“I’m ready, babe. You can stop looking so nervous,” she said softly, placing a hand on his arm.
Lucas grabbed her hand, squeezing it tightly.
“Why am I more nervous than you are?” He questioned, anxious. “Why aren’t you nervous??”
“Because there’s nothing to be nervous about!” Ashley laughed, squeezing his hand back lovingly. “Why are you nervous?”
Lucas looked at her with his mouth open.
“Because we’re going to see our baby,” he said. “For the first time. We’re actually going to see what’s in your belly.”
"And that makes you nervous? I'm excited," Ashley laughed lightly. "Plus, we're not really going to see much. The baby is still only tiny, barely even visible, I think."
“But it’s still our baby,” Lucas repeated, grabbing the car keys. “Whether it’s big or small or visible or invisible. We’re going to see it for the first time. C’mon, let’s go!”
Ashley giggled a little and followed him out the door. "I'm coming, I'm coming! Geez, babe."
Lucas tapped his finger against his leg impatiently, waiting for Ashley’s name to be called.
Once it did, they both stood up and followed the nurse.
As they walked into the room, the nurse was explaining what they would be doing. "So, you're eleven weeks along, correct?"
Ashley nodded, and the nurse continued, "Okay, so today we'll be listening for the heartbeat or heartbeats, but we won't be able to see the baby or babies yet. We can show you what we can see of them so far if you're interested."
Heartbeat, Lucas thought excitedly. He was going to hear their heartbeat for the first time!
“Were interested,” Lucas finally responded, trying to control his excitement.
Ashley grinned over at her boyfriend, amused by how excited he was. She was excited, too, of course, but she wasn’t showing it as much as he was. There were still thoughts running in her mind that worried her, so they calmed her a little.
The nurse hooked the machine up and had the expectant mother lay down on the bed thing. She had Ashley pull her shirt up to expose her belly, which hadn’t started to show yet, and the nurse then applied some cold gel to her skin. As soon as everything was ready, she set the device on Ashley’s belly, and a small heartbeat could be heard alongside Ashley’s bigger heartbeat.
Lucas almost teared up the second he heard a small heartbeat—his child’s heartbeat.
It was soft and small, but he could hear it. He’d never been so excited before in his entire life—he almost felt like a child again.
“Did you hear that, Ash?” He asked, unable to sit still.
Ashley grinned and glanced over at him, reaching her hand out for him. “I did. I heard it, babe. It’s beautiful,” she said softly.
Lucas took her hand, squeezing gently.
“Isn’t it?” He whispered. “I can’t wait to have the baby.”
