"Medicine for what?" she asked, trying to get a clearer answer.

"My back."

She nodded and left to ask.

He winced as his back had sharp pains running through it.

Jamie returned with a jar. "This should help," she said. "Sit up. Can you?"

"Y-Yeah…" As he sat up he winced in pain.

She spread a mixture over his back. "Does it feel better?" she asked softly.

"A-A little…"

"Give it a minute. It's going to relax you, I promise," she assured him, gently rubbing his back.

He nods. His back was bruised badly. His side a dark blues and purples.

"Oh, God…" she whispered softly. She looked at his eyes. "You're so brave…"

"N-Not really…"

"Yes you are," she replied, her fingers gently massaging his back.

He looked at her slightly. "That you opinion."

"And it should be yours," she replied, arching her eyebrows.

"…" he blushed bright

"It's true. You're the bravest person I know."

"H-How…?"

"Well," she said slowly, "you stood up for me. Isn't that enough?"

"I think it is," she said, focusing on calming him.

He sighs. "So are you."

She paused. "What?"

"You're brave too."

She blushed. "Am I?"

"Yep." he said softly

"How?" She gave him a knowing, sideways grin.

"Many reasons. So many and not enough time to say."

She blushed adorably. "Oh… That's… That's nice of you to say."

He blushed and looked away. "I-I guess…"
