Trent huffed, now he looked like the bad guy when he was just looking out for everyone.
"Noel, don't stare at me like that. I’ll show you why," he huffed, before reaching up to his dirtied cap and pulling it off.
His fluffy wolf ears unfurled and popped out twitching every which way.
"I wanted to tell you two about the wolf ears, and i didnt want it to spread past you two so i asked him to leave okay?" He looked around the room at there expressions.
"Are you kidding me Trent? that just makes you cooler." Evan smirked at him, mostly just grinning.
"Really?" he perked up a bit.
a knock came at the door.
Noel gaped at the wolf ears, her eyes moving to dissect them instead. She didn’t notice her daisies slowly wilting. She managed, “Woah… Trent… why do they make you look so cute?”
She was suddenly filled with the desire to touch them, but considered the fact that they had most likely been artificially and painfully attached. Still, she couldn’t keep from reaching out her hand slightly.
Talon chuckled, eyes gazing proudly at Trenton. “They do make you look cool, dude… and cute, I guess.”
Noel snapped out of it and was about to ask Trenton a million questions, but she turned to the knock at the door. “Is that you, Alister? I don’t think you want to come in yet.”
Alister managed to find his way down to the basement, or in other words, the hospital. Despite it being a basement, it was warm and homely, a wide open space with a wooden floor covered in old, faded rugs and soft furniture. He’d been surprised to see that they even had this stuff, but wasn’t as surprised to learn that they had stolen it or scavenged it from decades old homes. He walked past a few badly injured people being tended to by a gray-blonde man, up to Bimala, who was working at a holographic computer emitting a soft orange glow.
She glanced at him. “Hey Storm. What brings you here? Is your arm acting up again?”
“Oh no, thank you,” he said softly. “Trenton and Talon came up, and they all wanted to talk in private.”
He sat down in an empty love seat, unsure of what to do.
