Quinn glanced over at her, then back at Aster, sighing softly.

Charlotte jolted awake as the carriage came to an abrupt stop. She put a hand to her head for a moment before looking around.
The guard from earlier came in, and spoke to Quinn for a moment, then they picked Aster up and carried him out of the carriage.
Aster was unconscious now, a slight sheen of sweat on his skin.
Charlotte immediately stood and followed.
They carried him into a nearby building, setting him down on an operating table. An older man was busy preparing for the procedure.
Charlotte wrapped her arms around herself nervously and tapped her fingers.
Quinn came back to stand near Charlotte, exhaling softly. "He'll be okay." He said quietly. "He will be."
Aster shifted a little, eyes flickering open.
Charlotte looked down and nodded silently, uncertain.
Quinn crossed his arms. His clothes were bloodstained still.
Charlotte looked at her arm for a few seconds before quietly saying, "I need to wash my arm, is there any water?"
The older man looked up. "Hmm? Oh, yes, over there." He pointed to a pitcher of water, then went back to preparing for the procedure.
Charlotte nodded and went to scrub some of the blood off. "Damn, it stained," she hissed lowly.
Quinn walked over. "Want some help?" He asked softly.
Charlotte hesitated. "I, er… I don't know, it's not coming off, but - shit," she hissed again.
Quinn gently reached over and started scrubbing at her hands with a washcloth, eyes focused on ehat he was doing.

Charlotte winced slightly and exhaled.

Quinn continued, gently scrubbing at the blood.
Charlotte gasped and pulled her arm away. "Son of a - " she muttered a string of curses.
Quinn froze. "Oh…did I do something wrong?" He asked slowly.
"No, it's just that when your arm slices itself open, it tends to be slightly painful," she sighed.
Quinn blinked. "Oh. I'm sorry." He replied.
Charlotte shook her head. "It's not your fault it has to be cleaned; I don't want an infection."
Quinn nodded. "Want me to help?"
The healer got to work on Aster.
Charlotte shook her head uncertainly. "I'll be fine. You Should probably - you should stay with Aster," she furiously scrubbed at a part. of her arm gritting her teeth to keep from swearing.
Quinn sighed. "You sure? I can help you if you want."
"I'm fine, thanks," Charlotte insisted.
Quinn nodded. "Okay."
Charlotte forced a small smile and continued scrubbing. She could see parts if the cut now. It was much more jagged than usual.
