"Aw, cute!" she tried to sneak her arm back through his, hoping he wouldn't mind this time. "At least you have another friend."

Winter cleared his throat, pulling his arm from hers again. "Ah."

She paused, pouting at the fact that he denied her. "Will you at least consider being my friend?"

He sighed softly. "I told you, I don't do friends." He replied.

She ran ahead of him and started to, quite clumsily, walk backwards so he could see her face. She raised an eyebrow and gave him the mom look (you know what im talking about lmao). "I suppose I'll just have to bother you until you change your mind, then!" She shouted, not caring that it was starting to get late.

Winter sighed angrily. "Please, Astra. Stop it."

"Make me!" she yelled, unknowingly clenching her hands into fists. Her voice wavered when she yelled.

Winter's eyes flashed. "You dont want me to make you, Astra."

"What would you do? Hurt me?" she laughed hysterically. "Buddy, you can try."

Winter shook his head, and pushed past her.

"Hey wait, don't leave me alone!" She caught up with him. "It's rude to leave a cute lady like me all alone in a scary neighborhood!" she seemed to be bragging rather than trying to annoy him.

"… It's not a scary neighborhood." He replied. "And wasn't it already established that I'm rude?"

"It's scary for me! I grew up here," she joked. She was hiding her pain through jokes, as per usual. "You're starting to be less rude, so don't ruin it, Winter."

Winter snorted. "Just…" He turned to look at her. "What do I have to do to get you to leave me alone?" He asked.

"Promise to be my friend!" she giggled. She held out her pinky again, hoping he would make the deal with her. "I'll try to be less annoying if you do!"

"I said leave me alone, not less annoying." He replied, staring at her.

"But if I were less annoying, there's no way in hell that you would turn a sweet girl like me away!"

He gave her a dead eyed stare. "Highly unlikely."

"You still haven't met me sober. So you don't know."

"If you agree to meet with me tomorrow while I'm sober, I'll leave you in peace for the rest of the night!" her pinky was still outstretched.

"Fine." He agreed, touching his pinky to hers with a slight grimace.

"Good!" She grinned. "Meet me tomorrow at the restaurant or I will break your pinky!" She staggered away from him, not really sure where she was. But she would find a way.

He stared after her for a minute. "…well then." He said softly. "That was interesting."

Winter came in, and spotted Astra in his normal seat, walking over. "Hi." he said, sitting down.

"Good evening," she smiled at him, trying to be on her very best behavior. "How are you?"
