"Yeah, me too…" Kenzie yawned. "I'm ready to go home and pass out for the few hours I can before I need to start getting ready. You're lucky, you don't have to do as much prepping as I do."

Hunter grinned.
"Well, you'll look beautiful even if you don't do much prepping," he said.
Kenzie looked up at him with a smile.
"Thanks. I'm sure you'll look great, too. Should we go, now?"
(Do you know about the tradition that the groom isn't allowed to see the bride in her dress before she walks down the aisle?)
(Yes, I've heard about that.)
Hunter nodded tiredly.
"Yeah," he said. "We should go and get some sleep. Willow, you'd better drive her home safely and make sure she sleeps."
"Trust me, she'll sleep," Willow chuckled. "I'm sleeping at her place tonight to make sure of it."
"You were sleeping over before he said that, dork," Kenzie laughed.
Hunter nodded.
“Good,” he said. “Anyway, we should head out now.”
"That we should," Kenzie agreed with a sigh. She gave Hunter a soft, nervous, and excited smile. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
(cough)
(Oh no I’m so sorry my uncle gave us a surprise visit and it had been three years since I last saw him so I couldn’t find any time to come online, and on top of that, I also had the essay to complete ):
Hunter nodded, the smile on his face turning into a scowl as Leo threw an arm around his shoulders.
“Well, meanwhile I’ll have this dude play a final round of video games with me before I’m unable to beat his arse,” he stated proudly. Hunter rolled his eyes.
(It's totally fine! Don't worry about it.)
Kenzie chuckled a bit, grinning at Hunter.
"I'll see you tomorrow, babe," she said softly as Willow started pulling her away.
“See you tomorrow,” Hunter replied fondly, watching as Kenzie walked away with Willow.
“All right, man, let’s celebrate your last nice as an unmarried man!” Leo exclaimed, pulling his arm and dragging him away.
(Should we skip to pre-wedding prep?)
Willow drove Kenzie home, and the bride-to-be simply stared out the window. She sighed, causing her maid of honor to give her a concerned look.
"You doin' okay?" Willow asked softly. "Not getting cold feet, are you?"
"No, I'm not," Kenzie chuckled a bit at her friend's attempt at a joke. "I'm just nervous, you know? Like, what if something goes wrong? What if the music doesn't work? What if I miss my cue? What if–"
"Stop it with all the 'what if's, okay? It will be perfect, even if something happens," Willow cut her off with her assuring words.
Kenzie sighed and closed her eyes. "I know… I just can't help but think about everything that could go wrong…"
(I think we should, yes.)
Hunter checked his tie again for the umpteenth time that minute, frustrating Leo.
"Come on, man," he sighed loudly. "You look great! Your hair looks great, your clothes look perfect, and on top of that, you smell great, too!"
Hunter groaned.
"That's not it, you dimwit," Hunter said quietly, running a finger through his hair, making Leo groan. "I'm… nervous?"
Leo raised his eyebrows.
"What for?"
"It's stupid," Hunter trailed off. "What if… Kenzie doesn't like living with me? What if things go wrong?"
Leo sighed again.
"Dude, trust me, she won't regret it," he squeezed Hunter's shoulders. "Unless you're a jerk to her, then yeah, she'll regret it. But trust me, she loves you and you love her. You don't have to be nervous, okay?"
Hunter nodded slowly, taking a deep breath.
"Yeah, you're right," he shook his head. "I'm an idiot. Anyway, how long do we have till…"
"Twenty minutes," Leo replied, moving to fix Hunter's hair.
(I'm so stinking excited!!!)
Willow helped McKenzie into her dress, helped fix her now-curled hair, and dabbed a bit of lipstick onto her lips. She stepped back to examine her work with a grin.
"You look absolutely stunning," she said as Kenzie ran her hands down her dress nervously.
"Are you sure? Nothing's out of place?" Kenzie doubled checked.
"Everything is perfect, Kenzie. Trust me, Hunter will love the dress almost as much as he loves you."
Kenzie shot her friend a nervous grin. "Thanks. I suppose I shouldn't be so nervous, huh?"
"You have no reason to be. Everything will go great, trust me," Willow assured her. "Now, you've got about 15 minutes to finish up."
Hunter fixed his tie again, looking nervous, his eyes darting around. He'd invited his father, although he didn't know why. Hunter felt it would only be right to do so, but it wasn't like he was expecting him to come. His eyes landed on Mr. and Mrs. Carter in an attempt to get rid of the thoughts, and they both beamed at him, waving, a proud look on their faces. Hunter took a deep breath. Soon enough, he would be joined by Kenzie. Soon enough, he'd be married.
The music started, soft and slow, right before the first bridesmaid and groomsman made their way down the aisle. They were soon followed by a second pair, then a third. After them cam Willow and Leo, and the maid of honor looked so excited that you might think it was her own wedding and not her best friend's.
Soon after they had walked down, the music faded and changed. Two ring bearers walked down together, carrying between them the cushion that held the rings. A pair of flower girls in white dresses with maroon sashes followed after them, scattering white rose petals on the aisle as they walked. And again, the music faded and changed, and the crowd stood while they waited for the bride to walk down the aisle.
Kenzie took a deep breath and wiped away a stray tear. She held onto her father's arm ad glanced up at him with a nervous smile. Mr. Baker looked down at his daughter, his only child, and tried to hold back the tears that threatened to spill. Their cue came, and they started walking down.
Kenzie kept her eyes trained on Hunter, knowing that she wouldn't be able to hold back her tears if she saw the elated faces of her friends and family. She couldn't keep the grin off of her face as she looked at her soon-to-be-husband.
He looks so great! And I'm going to be married to him in just a little bit! Oh my gosh, I'm going to be married to him soon… Oh my gosh…
When Hunter saw Kenzie, he felt like all the breath had been knocked out of his lungs. She looked beautiful. And she was going to be his wife in just a matter of minutes. Snapping out of his daze, Hunter grinned back at her, feeling the back of his neck getting hotter. She really took his breath away. Hunter couldn't see anything except his soon-to-be-wife like he was getting sucked into her. He didn't understand how he was going to survive.
Kenzie and John Baker finally reached the parishioner and Hunter.
"Who gives this woman to be married?" the man asked in wedding tradition.
"I do," John said, his voice gentle but loud.
Kenzie was handed off to Hunter, and she still couldn't stop grinning. She squeezed his hands excitedly.
"I can't wait until this is over," she whispered.
Hunter grinned and squeezed her hands back.
"I can't, either," he replied softly. "You look breathtaking…"
Kenzie blushed and whispered back, "You look amazing."
(Should we skip to the "I do's"?)
(Yeah, because honestly I have no clue as to what to say.)
Hunter brought Kenzie’s hand to his lips, softly kissing it with a mischievous look in his eyes.
(Lol. Let me look it up around there…)
Kenzie gave him a curious look and mouthed "What?"
(Eh, well, I'll come up with something!)
Hunter shook his head with a smile, before turning his attention back at the marriage official (?).
(I think it's officiate… I was thinking about it earlier and realized I've been using the wrong term. Lol.)
A few minutes later…
"Do you take McKenzie Rhodes as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" the officiate asked, looking at the groom.
Hunter looked at Kenzie, smiling widely.
"I do," he replied softly.
"Do you take Hunter McArthur as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" the officiate asked, looking at the bride.
Kenzie grinned back at Hunter, her heart beating so hard it felt like it would burst right out of her chest.
"I do," she declared.
"Then by the power vested in me, by the state of (whatever state they're in), I now pronounce you husband and wife," the officiate said. "You may kiss the bride."
(squeals)
Hunter immediately cupped Kenzie’s cheeks, pulling her closer to tightly clasp their lips together. His heart hammered wildly in his chest, but he was soon able to ignore the aggressive beating, his mind only on Kenzie, their wedding, and the way her lips felt against his.
Kenzie grinned into the kiss. She was excited beyond words, and it was making her breathless. Or maybe that was the kiss… Either way, she pulled back to grin up at Hunter, catching her breath as the officiate spoke once more.
"May I present to you, for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Hunter McArthur!"
Kenzie bit the inside of her cheek to keep from squealing out loud as she turned to the crowd, as practiced. She was married! She was now McKenzie Hope McArthur!
(It all started here:
Hunter was busy getting himself a cup of black coffee when he heard an all too familiar voice. Turning around slightly, he found himself staring at one of his oldest friends- Kenzie. A lazy smirk made it's way to his lips as he saw Kenzie laugh nervously, occasionally taking a peek at her burnt tongue. Hunter paid for his coffee and began to make his way towards Kenzie and a brown haired female standing next to her.
"You should be careful, clumsy," he drawled, his smirk widening when he saw Kenzie jump just a little, possibly by surprise. Hunter locked his mischevious eyes with Kenzie's, the former's smirk widening a fraction more if that was even possible. He didn't expect to meet Kenzie in this coffee shop of all places, but then again, he and Kenzie rarely hung out. He didn't know her all to well to assume she wasn't a coffee person. "This is what happens when you're too careless."
