She blushed and stepped closer to him. "I wish I didn't have to fight so much. Then, I could stay around the palace with you more."

"You're great out there, I'm more like the kind of guard who deals with this," Felix made his voice more highpitched and nasally, "Oh guard boy! Stand next to me so you look like my boyfriend and I can make Duke Lilac jealous!"
She laughed and raised a brow. "They honestly used you for that?"
"You wouldn't believe how snooty and aristocratic and sneaky those nobles are. Not to mention liars too."
She nodded in agreement. "Once a noble kissed me to get the attention of a lady. It didn't work that well. . . I almost stabbed him."
Felix was instantly jealous. "Who was it?"
"Sir Bastian. I had to be his guard for a month or two." She replied.
Felix nodded.
"But, yes, nobles are terrible." She sighed. "I've grown quite fond of Queen Elysia, though the Council isn't backing her up on most things."
Felix nodded.
"Hopefully we'll win this battle. . . or the young Queen might be in some trouble." Caelum sighed, part of her worrying about the war. She pushed her thoughts away, using a smile to cover it up.
Felix nodded.
"Next time we play tag, I'm totally going to beat you." She grinned.
Felix nodded.
"You okay. . .? You just keep nodding."
//ur right omg
"Um, yeah, I'm okay." Felix blushed, pretending that he hadn't been mesmerized by Caelum's eyes.
(He’s probably just jealous.)
(Oh.)
( I feel like the Queen wouldn't be able to find Caelum and Felix and would come and look for them. One of the guards or helpers would probably know where they were )
"Good. I thought I lost you there." She smiled and nudged him playfully, looking towards the waterfalls and the afternoon light cut through the water.
Felix smiled and then sat down, "Lunch?"
"Sounds good," She grabbed the food from her horse and sat down next to Felix.
"What's to eat?"
She pulled out a bunch of sandwiches filled with different types of meats, some cheese, vegetables and small cakes. "Don't tell the cooks I took some. They apprentices are very easy to distract."
"Well, they're apprentices after all." Felix shrugged.
Caelum nodded and picked up a sandwich, watching her horse run around the waterfalls.
"I had horses back home. My favorite was…" Felix was freaking out. He'd named the horse Caelum. "Umm. Her name's..um..Waterfall! Yeah."
"Waterfall. That's a nice name." She replied. "Did you ride them a lot?"
"Yeah, a lot." Felix smiled, relieved Caelum had taken the lie.
