"I'm glad you're okay." Oliver smiled, but he had to admit, he was a little traumatized. "You're strong." He commented, showing her his swollen hand.
Dove leaned towards the sunset and nearly lost her footing. "WHoA!" she steadied herself and stepped back, heart pounding. I could've died. But maybe…It would've been nice if I had..
.“Well..congratulations..” Caroline turned back to Briar who was finally beginning to come to.
“T-The baby..” was the first thing that popped out of her mouth. She tried to sit up, but struggled to do so.
“Briar, the baby is in the NICU right now. Just try to rest, please..” Caroline smiled at her friend, stroking her hair gently.
“Is it a boy..or girl..”
<“It’s a boy, a beautiful baby boy.” Caroline smiled.

"You were amazing, Bry." She went to her friend's side. "From what I saw, he's physically fine. I'll just have to x-ray him to check everything is working fine."
EDIT: Natalie had left Beth in the room for a few moments because she heard about Briar. "Guys I came as soon as I heard. Briar,………………you're just full of surprises, aren't you?" She said, worry filling every inch of her voice.
Caroline looked at Natalie. "Nat, try and keep your voice down. Bry's going to be in a very fragile state for the next week or so."
“Fragile? My dear, dear Caroline; I am anything but delicate.” Briar gave her a smirk and sat up in bed, ignoring the soreness that plagued her body.
"Briar! Lie down!" Caroline ordered.
“Alright, fine…” Briar gave her a dirty look before reluctantly obeying her friend’s orders. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a pad and pencil laying on top of her beside table. She quickly snatched them up and started to write vigorously in her loopy cursive.
Natalie frowned. "Bry you're going to take a maternal leave of absence until you can recover. And you are going to stay at my house where we can keep an eye on you."
"What are you writing?" Caroline asked curiously, ignoring the dirty look sent her way.

Oliver watched Briar carefully, mostly relieved she was okay. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, Oliver slipped quietly outside to take a walk.
Dove watched a seagull start a nest and wondered how they learned to do that.
Oliver ran his hand through his hair and finally realized he'd lost his hair tie. The wind blew his hair into his mouth, making cough and sputter before pushing it away in annoyance. "Gotta wash off soon." He said aloud to himself, eying the blood on his scrubs.
Dove closed her eyes and felt the breeze brush past her, making her hair dance to the beat of the wind.

Oliver's stomach growled loudly. Although he knew the dangers of fast food and high cholesterol, he started making his way to the McDonald's down the street. "They're gonna think I'm a murderer!" He halted in his tracks and threw his hands up in exasperation.

Dove hoisted herself up and started home, thinking about grabbing something to eat.

"Alright, screw it." Oliver put his hands by his side and kept walking, occasionally spitting hair out of his mouth. He didn't feel like going back to his lonely apartment and he didn't want to disturb the girls either. Maybe Dove is still in her office? He decided to page her.
