Caroline looks into Briar's eyes. "Think, Briar. This isn't an ectopic pregnancy: I checked you. So either this baby will be born and has maybe 40% percent chance of surviving and 60% chance of abnormalities, or this is a miscarriage. This depends on how long you've been pregnant, I need a number of weeks."
“How to Save A Life..” Remake Roleplay (read the description, please)
“I don’t know..at least twenty-five!” Briar said, exasperated. “I wasn’t feeling any symptoms until a few days ago..”
Her breathing became labored once more as she doubled over in utter distress.
“Just.. please..get it out!”
"Twenty-five!" Caroline whooped in delight. "There's a chance of survival, Briar." But when she looked at her pained friend, her heart sank. There was no moving her now, but this room wasn't equipped. "Oliver!" she cried out. She did her best prep the cot for labor, but she had nothing she needed.
“Caroline..were just going to have to work with what we have..”Briar gave her a weak smile, before doubling over once more.
“Holy..sweet mother Of Jesus..that hurts..”
"Yes, Briar it does. Oliver!" Caroline set up blankets at the end of the cot hurriedly. "It's not necessarily for you we need equipment, it's for the kid. We'll need medication and an incubator and the right support."
An intern (who was not Oliver) heard Caroline's orders and brought in the specialized medication and incubator in a matter of minutes.
Just looking at all the machinery made Briar very nervous.
“I know I said I wanted to get this over with as soon as possible, but I don’t know if I can do this..”
(Sorry guys! I was over a friend's house!)
Oliver frantically scrambled into the room after the intern, looking frantic and slightly disheveled. His hair had fallen out of its ponytail and resided in choppy black waves framing his face. "Is she going to be okay? I got the room prepped. Does she need water? Another doctor? I'm a doctor! Not the right doctor…" Oliver stammered, his words jumbling together.
“Ollie..I just need someone’s hand to hold onto..”Briar said her voice strained.
“Ugh..it hurts so much..”she moaned, grabbing for his hand.
"Of course." Oliver allowed Briar to grab tightly ahold of his hands again despite her death grip.
Dove grabbed a bouncy ball and threw it against the wall, watching it come back and then bounce again and then come back and bounce again.
Caroline nodded at the equipment. "OK, this will have to do." She looked signalled to Oliver to squeeze Briar's hand. "Alright, Bry. Let's go."
“Alright..” Briar squeezed Oliver’s hand and began to push gently at first , little gasps slipping their way through her lips.
"Stay strong Briar. You can do this." Oliver encouraged, wincing in pain a little. His hand was probably going to be broken after this.

(XD)
Caroline put a hand on Briar's waist. "Come on, Briar. You can do this!"
Natalie knocked gently on the door of her patient's door. She heard a faint "Come in." and entered. She looked at her clipboard. "Beth, right?" She asked the girl sitting on the bed, maybe around thirteen years old. E man sitting on e chair beside her nodded. "Okay, this is the part where I ask any and all parents or guardians to leave." The man protested. "Ma'am, you're a teenager. How can I be sure that you're qualified to take care of niece?" Natalie frowned. "I am because I am. Now please leave so that I can take care of Beth." The man left, grumbling. Natalie removed her medical coat, closing the door and sitting down of the bed beside Beth. "Beth, can you tell me why you tried to commit suicide?" The girl collapsed in sobs. Natalie held her close. "Shh. It's okay. No one can hurt you here." She soothed the girl.
Dove ran a hand through her hair and struggled to think of happy things. I am beautiful and amazing and I definitely shouldn't hate myself because everyone is unique, including me. But her positive vibes just fell flat.
“Uhn..It..it..hurts..so much..” Briar’s hair was plastered to her forehead with sweat as she kept on pushing. Tears flowed freely down her cheeks as she tried to concentrate.
“How much more..must I do until..” Her sentence was cut off short as she sat up boltright, screaming.
"Briar!" Oliver shot Caroline a panicked look and tried to comfort Briar as much as he could. He yelped as she squeezed his hand even tighter.
(I found you Otter. @TiredNERD is too strong. Now come back)
Dove sat in her chair and decided to go home, her shift had ended an hour ago anyway.
Natalie listened as Beth told her everything. When she was done, Natalie thought for a few minutes. "Okay Beth. You have two options. I can send you to recover at a mental hospital, as is protocol for patients like you, or you can be the first to try out our new rehabilitation system. If you would like to do this, you will be coming home with me and staying with me and my family for a few weeks, then we can see where to go from there."
“Oh my God..Oh my God..” Briar began to panic, which wasn’t a good mix with the stress of giving birth.
“I can’t do this..I can’t do this..”
"Yes, you can. Briar you can do this okay. You're amazing. You'll be a great mom. You can do this." Oliver encouraged, weakly squeezing her hand back.
Dove called her dad, "Dad? I'm coming home. What's for dinner?"
"Baby-back ribs."
Dove frowned, "I'm a vegetarian, dad."
"Sorry."
"I'll just eat takeout." she sighed and opened the door, getting out of the building.
“Ugh..” Briar moaned, her eyes screwed shut. She squeezed Oliver’s hand even tighter when the pain of pushing became nearly unbearable.
“Oliver..something’s wrong..I can feel it..” She looked up at her friend, worry cracking in her eyes.
“Where is Caroline? I need her to check—“
Dove stopped outside of the hospital, looking up at it. "Goodbye Oliver and company."
"Just breathe! I don't know what I'm doing! Okay, okay. Things will be fine. Please stAY CALM!" Oliver yelped again, pretty sure his fingers were broken.
Dove stopped outside of the hospital, looking up at it. "Goodbye Oliver and company."
(Dove should come to Briar’s hospital room if she doesn’t have anything to do..and thanks for the Disney reference)
