Aiya grabbed a brownie and began eating it contentedly, watching Luciana read.

“Why would I do that?” Luciana asked, not looking up from the book.

"I don't know…you don't seem to like me that much…" Corin mumbled. "Just don't turn me into a frog…"

Luciana laughed, “If I were to hex you, it wouldn’t be a frog.”

"Good…the frog prince would not be good…"

“I found the page Aiya! You asked if dragons had powers, correct?” Luciana asked, holding the book up victoriously.

Aiya nodded, looking at the book. "Great! I still can't read, though."

“It says that dragons all have something similar to a fire ability. Many can breath flames.”

"Cool! Do I have any other powers?"

“… do you have wings?”

Aiya nodded, extending her small wings. The insides were a shimmering silver color, but the outside blended in with her skin.

“Dang.” Luciana whispered, then looked at the book, “You can fly.”

Drayce thought thirst they were showing off their wings, so she spread her tiny ones too. Black like her body on the outside, fiery red and orange on the inside.

“Awww.”

"Is that a problem?" She folded her wings again, examining Drayce's.

“You guys are adorable.” Luciana gushed, and looked down and started flipping through the book again.

"They're pretty."

“Any more questions?”

"You said 'dang'. Is there something wrong with being able to fly?"

“No it’s a good thing.”

"It is? Does it mean anything?"

“… uh Corin?”

"What?" He looked up.

“Explain to Aiya.”

"Explain wha…"

“What ‘dang’ means.”

"Uh…its a euphemism for damn…" He stuttered. "Sorry…"

“Why apologize?”

"I said damn…"

“Ah.” Luciana said, “Humans are weird but polite.”
