Lysander gently touched her shoulder and carefully helped her sit up, rubbing her back.
she got her breath and broke down sobbing
Lysander hugged her close and continued to rub her back. ”It’s ok. It's ok. Your safe now, he's gone.” he said softly.
She cried her eyes out
Lysander held her close against him, letting her cry as long as she needed to all the while whispering comforting words to help calm her.
Evan left for a moment to check on the kids with a promise to come back soon.
Bloody tears ran down her cheeks
Lysander was a little worried at that, even though it wasn't the first time… but he continued to hold her and lightly kissed her forehead.
She stood up off the ground
Lysander let go of her and slowly stood up after her. ”Are you alright, angel?” he asked softly.
She got about three feet before she passed out
Lysander stumbled after her in an attempt to catch her but because of his injuries and not being as fast as he used to he wasn't able to.
”The kids are alright.” Evan announced as he walked into the room. ”Laura-Beth is a little worried but the twins and Cole are still sleeping… What happened?” he asked before easily picking Betty up.
Betty had black veins on her stomach
”She… She was just crying.” Lysander said, starting to panic as he saw the veins.
Evan frowned deeply as he laid her on her bed, looking at her stomach and wondering what caused the marks to show up.
She stayed unconscious but the veins didn't go away
Lysander sat on the bed beside his wife and gently held her hand. I can't lose you again…
Evan started pacing out of both worry and anger. I shouldn't have left her. If I had been with her when that traitor showed up…
Blood dripped from her nose
Lysander grabbed a tissue and gently wiped away the blood as it was all he could do at the moment.
Evan stopped his pacing and pulled out his phone, calling Tyler. If anyone could help that he could trust, it would be her.
tyler picked up the phone"hello?" She answered
”How quickly can you get over to Betty's?” Evan asked seriously. ”She’s hurt. Jacob just showed up… He’s gone now but… We don't know what he did to her.”
"Henry's not here so its gonna be a minute " she said
”Ok.” Evan nodded a little. ”Thank you, Tyler.”
" yeah…" she said hanging up the phone
Evan sighed, worry still prominent in his voice though he was a little more hopeful now… and possibly a little relieved.
Tyler rushed out of the house still pregnant grabbing her spell books her candles and her medical bag
Evan froze for a moment before smacking himself in the face. He had forgotten that Tyler was pregnant! ”I… I'll be right back.” he told Lysander before he sped out of the house.
Tyler got in her car and started to drive to Betty's
Evan was really pushing himself to speed up when he caught up to Tyler's car.
Tyler was looking straight ahead
Evan didn't really know what to do now. Tyler seemed to be driving fine and he certainly didn't want to do something that would cause her to get in an accident. He decided that the least he could do was fly overhead and make sure that she would stay safe on the way to help Betty.
Tyler made it to Betty's sooner than expected
