Lysander nodded, acknowledging Tyler's comment, but not stopping his stream of comforting words.
Betty could hear him but couldn't speak
He gently cupped her face. ”It’s ok, love. I’m right here. You're going to be ok.” he said softly before he considered something. ”Are… Are you trying to wake up?” he asked almost hopefully.
Betty jerked her head up almost like a nod
Lysander almost smiled at the faint sign and gently held her close. ”Then don't stop fighting, mon amour. You can do it. I’m right here.”
Betty eventually calmed down
Lysander slowly laid her back on the bed.
Betty didn't move
Lysander sighed a little at her lack of movement, though he was hoping that whatever had just happened was progress as he gently brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.
”There… That took a bit more than I was expecting but I did it. The next time she wakes up, well, her doctor will be baffled by her recovery.” they chuckled a little tired. Honestly, though, they loved messing with people of science like this.
”And the children?” Charles asked, feeling more than a little drained.
”Don’t worry. I didn't forget them. They should be completely healthy by now too.” their smile faded as they sat beside Charles. ”But I should ask how you are feeling, old friend.”
Betty's air stopped it felt like she was suffocating
(everytime I have a character try to save Betty, it backfires… 😅)
Lysander watched her carefully, almost hoping that this could just be a temporary effect…
Betty stopped moving but kept her eyes closed

Lysander reached up and gently checked her pulse and felt for any sign of breath.
Unfortunately Betty didn't have any pulse or any sort of a heartbeat
Lysander swallowed nervously, praying that this was just a temporary reaction from the sleeping curse… that she would be alright and wake up.
Tyler came back in looking at betty
Lysander looked up at Tyler worriedly when he heard her come in.
"Kiss her" Tyler said
He almost smirked at that but nodded. “Ironically, I was just wondering if that would work.” he told her before turning towards his wife and gently kissed her lips.
Betty's eyes shot open and she kissed him back relaxing into the kiss
Lysander was surprised when he felt her returning the kiss but smiled as he continued to kiss her. “I am never going to look at ‘Sleeping Beauty’ the same way again. You had me scared to death.” he murmured, holding Betty close.
" near death experience you should be used to it by now " She said
“Feels different for me when my heart is beating.” he said with a soft smile. “Are you ok?”
She nodded "just in pain"
He nodded in both relief and concern. “Do you need anything?” he asked.
She shook her head no
“Ok.” he nodded before kissing her cheek.
She smiled softly wincing in pain
