Arria rolled his eyes and sat up a little straighter, “I’m Arria, who are you guys?” He asked.
Mermaid romance (one-on-one//closed)
“I’m Jay, and this is Breigha,” Jay grinned, paddling his board even closer. Carter tried to align his legs with Arria’s tail, hoping to cast an illusion that the other had legs. Jay smirked, probably thinking that Carter was just snuggling Arria, “Now, don’t let us stop you two, I did here a lot of noise when we were coming around the corner.” Carter was as probably red as a fire truck by now, pursing his lips. Oh gosh, if Jay could just leave…
Arria smiled a little, “So? We didn’t think anyone else would come round here… how’s you find us anyway? Follow Carter?”
“Carter typically comes here all the time,” Breigha drawled with a grin, “But usually he comes he to get some space. I see that’s changed!”
Both of them laughed again, and Carter started chewing his lip, “Guys… Please…”
Jay rolled his eyes, “Alright, loverboy, but I want to here the story tomorrow. Enjoy yourselves tonight~” He teased, before paddling away with Breigha. Only when the two were around the corner did Carter relax, slouching against Arria’s chest in the water.
Arria giggled once they were gone and wrapped his arms around Carter, “They seem nice.” He muttered, smiling widely.
“Sure…” Carter let his body float upwards, using Arria’s arm as a pillow, “How much did I blush?” He sighed, closing his eyes.
“A lot, it was cute though so don’t worry about it.” Arria said gently, giggling a little more.
Carter nuzzled his face into Arria’s skin, “Mmm… you’re comfy…” He kissed Arria’s skin, his tongue flicking out a little bit, “And you said I’m cute…”
“Y-Yes, I did,” Arria stammered out, “I was just stating the obvious.” He blushed slightly.
“You’re cute too…” Carter murmured, brushing his fingers over Arria’s sculpted chest. He quietly moaned, maybe it was Arria’s name or maybe it was a declaration of love, who knows. I’m in love with a merman.
“Not as cute as you though…” Arria muttered, smiling softly as he brought his face to the others and kissed him for a few moments before sitting back up properly.
“Liar, you’re cuter~” Carter smiled happily, moving upright so he could wrap his arms around Arria’s waist and put his chin on the merman’s shoulder, humming a little bit.
Arria giggled a little and shook his head, "Nope, definitely you." He smiled and sighed a little and closed his eyes.
“Fine, then you must be more handsome,” Carter pecked Arria on the cheek, but his face lingered close, “And you’re really hot~”
Arria opened and rolled his eyes, “Whatever you say.” He muttered, giving the other a smile.
Carter finally pulled away, but he was grinning. “We should swim for once, ya know?” He held a hand out to Arria, a playful look on his face.
Arria rolled his eyes, a smug grin forming, “Try and keep up.” He said, before swimming away.
Carter dove after the other. Sure, it was true Arria was faster than him, but he was grinning. The salty water sprayed as he swam after the merman into deeper water. I’m swimming after a merman, it’s still so hard to believe.
Arria looked back and laughed doing a flip, “Come on slow poke!” He said before swimming through a rock tunnel and out the other side, laughing and grinning like crazy.
“So unfair!” Carter shouted, but he dove down and went for the rock tunnel anyways. Just need to hold my breath… Carter was just about to the other side, but just as he kicked his leg into a rock, and he didn’t even have time to react as a two heavy boulders dropped down and pinned his leg. His eyes bulged, and he immediately turned and tried to pull his leg out. Carter paled when it didn’t even move.
Arria turned around and when he noticed Carter wasn't there his smile faded, "Carter!" He swam back to the tunnel and gasped, "No, no, no, no, no." Quickly, he swam closer and tried to push at the boulder, it didn't move much and Arria tried again and again.
Carter choked, then instinct took over and he sucked in water. No, no, no, gosh, no. Carter pushed at the rocks, but nothing was moving, he couldn’t get out. He sucked in another breath of water, coughing and coughing in a catch twenty two. His hand grabbed Arria’s with a panic, holding tightly. I’m dying.
"Carter no… I'm sorry, don't die on me, please." Arria used his tail to try and move the boulder and it did start to move but not by much, "Come on…" Arria was about to give when out of the corner of his eye, he saw something fast approaching. When it drew closer, Arria recognised the face and the green and gold tail.
"Arria what the hell happened?!" Farron asked, immediately coming to help, the boulder started to move more with the force of two merman moving it.
"I'll explain later, just push!"
Black spots started to cloud in on Carter’s vision. His grip loosened on Arria’s hand as weakness started to drag at him. Carter vaguely felt his foot come loose, but he barely got a few meters out before being thrown into unconsciousness.
Arria grabbed Carter as soon as he was free and swam for the surface, breaking the water and swimming to the rock pool, "Please don't die on me…" He placed him on the sand and tried to wake the other up again.
Carter’s head lolled to the side, some water spilling out of his mouth. Salty still filled his filled his lungs like a tank. He had breathed in so much when he had been trapped… His chest no longer moved up and down in that rhythmic beat of breathing.
Think Arria think. What would… Arria remembered something he learnt about bringing a human back to life. He moved Carter's head back a little, then placed both his hands over his chest and pushed up and down, Restart his heart and he should cough up the water… right?
It took a few moments, but then Carter was coughing up ocean water. He rolled on his side, spitting it up and trying to get air in at the same time. But he was alive. Carter was about to turn, but he choked up more water onto the sand, coughing harder. But he was breathing. He finally turned to look at Arria with bleary eyes, trying to joke ithe near death experience away, “Gosh, I’m really stupid.”
Arria hugged the other tightly, "You're alive, don't ever do that again Carter or I'll…I'll…" He pulled back and wiped his eyes to stop himself from crying anymore. It was only when he heard a cough did he winced, roll his eyes and turn around to see his brother.
"Uh… thanks for the help back their Farron." Arria muttered.
"Can one of you explain what's going on?" The older merman asked, crossing his arms.
Carter sat up, squinting his eyes at the newcomer, “You’re Farron?” Another merman… Arria was definitely cuter, though. Carter instinctively grabbed Arria’s hand and said defensively, “Arria was just saving my life.”
