Toby noticed the girl next to him, looking just about as lost as he was. He decided to take his chances. "Uh. . . do you, um, want to sit with me?" He stammered, an embarrassed grin on his face as he ran a hand through his sandy blond hair nervously.

Simon tried to ignore the loud laughs coming from the other side of the cafeteria. Where are headphones when you need them? He sighed, still slowly continuing his poem.

( That's Jil if anyone's confuzzled xD )
Jil turned a bright shade of red as Toby Walker, one of the most popular kids in the 7th grade, asked her to sit with him. "Um. Uh, yeah-I-sure." she stammered. Why the heck is he talking to me? she thought to herself.
Toby grinned, his green eyes lighting up as he motioned towards a table next to them. "Jil Hawkins, right? We have Science and Math together."
Beatrix returned the book and headed down for the cafeteria. She didn't have any friends here, She was still the "New girl." She sighed as she sat down with the food. Still glad I have headphones though.

“Are those kids ever going to consider the fact that they aren’t alone in here?” Griffith asked incredulously.

(Um, my character hasn’t even breathed yet, so.)
Toby grinned, his green eyes lighting up as he motioned towards a table next to them. "Jil Hawkins, right? We have Science and Math together."
Jil's eyes widened. "Wait.. You actually know my name?" she said, surprised. "Wow. You know my name. A popular kid knows my name. And yes. Science and math."
Toby smiled sheepishly at the mention of being popular. "I pay attention to pretty and smart girls." He replied, fidgeting with the leather bracelet on his wrist. It was true that she was pretty. Toby had always caught himself staring at her rose gold hair and wide, honey brown eyes.

(lol, how can I jump in?)
Jil blushed and looked down at her hands, twisting her ring, not sure what to do. First, the cutest boy in the grade asked her to sit with him, and now he had indirectly called her pretty.
Toby heard his friends laugh and point to the pair, but he ignored them. "You're really smart too. What's your favorite subject?" He asked, trying to start a conversation. He could feel a deep blush creeping across his cheeks as Jil looked down.
"I don't know. I guess I like math. Art is good too, but I'm not the best at either." Jil answered, trying desperately to ignore the laughs directed at them.
(lol, how can I jump in?)
(idk, we're all in the cafeteria tho)
"Don't pay attention to them. They're idiots." Toby frowned, looking over at the boys at his table. "Art? I bet you're great at it." He replied, turning back to her and smiling softly.

(k, thx)
Raven walked into the cafeteria and sat at the table Jil was at since she was the only person she knew. She saw another guy and decided to stay quiet until Jil noticed her.
"Pfft. Great? I don't think so. I guess I'm not trash at it either, though. What's your favorite subject?" She asked, slightly warming up to Toby.
Jil's friend Raven joined them at the table, and she smiled warmly. "What's up, Raven?" she asked.
"If only lunch was a subject. . ." Toby sighed dramatically, grinning as he looked back down at Jil. "But, I really like history."
