"I'm fine," Bastian grumbled, deliberately avoiding the question as he reached into the cupboard for a bottle of painkillers. He hissed and winced as the movement made his injured arm throb with pain

Halo shakes his head. "You're obviously not, Bastian." He says softly as he takes Bastians hand.
Bastian flinched a bit when Halo took his hand. He took a shuddery breath, composing himself. "I'll be okay. I just…Just some scars, that's all. It's okay," he assured him
Halo shakes his head, "No it isn't. Go sit down. I'll get the pain meds and stuff." He says gently.
Bastian gave him a look before sighing. “Fine,” he huffed before going and limping to the couch
Halo grabs the necessary stuff and then walks towards Bastian. "I need you to show me every wound. Understand? Even the smallest cut can cause an infection."
“I told you it’ll heal. Our species can only be really harmed by gold,” Bastian huffed, curling in on himself a bit to hide his injuries
Halo shakes his head. "Doesn't mean it won't hurt like hell." He insists. He takes Bastians cheeks into his hands. "Now."
Bastian glowered at him stubbornly. “Fine,” he bit out before pulling his shirt and jacket off. He had several bruises around his ribs, but there was a dark one forming around his elbow. Most of the damage seemed to be on his face and leg
Halo's eyes widen slightly before he takes a gentle breath. He went to reach towards the medical stuff, but he hesitated. Something in the back of his mind told him to touch one of the bruises.
Bastian looked off to the side, not wanting to let Halo coddle him like this. He had only gotten one or two gashes from the man’s gold plated knife, and those were the only things that would be painful after a few days
Halo looked back and decided to trust his instinct. Slowly he places his hand on one of the gashes, taking a deep breath and focusing as he felt warmth flow from his chest.
Bastian turned to look at Halo’s hand, his brows raising a bit. “What are you doing?” he asked slowly, obviously confused
A gentle white light flowed from his fingers, slowly bringing the skin back together, mending the wound. He blinks then pulls away, staring at the now clean and healed skin.
Bastian watched the process, a look of awe on his face. “Oh my god,” he breathed out before looking up at Halo
Halo was staring at where the wound used to be, blinking rapidly. "E-eh?!"
“I…I think you found your power,” Bastian said with a small, dorky grin
Halo looks up, then looks down at his hands. "Healing?" He asks curiously.
“I guess,” Bastian said as he stared at Halo’s hands. “Unless you just have magic hands, in which case I very much want to make out after you fix me.”
Halo chuckles into his hand before returning to healing Bastian.
Bastian let him this time, his eyes drawn to his healing injuries. He couldn’t get enough of just how spectacular it was
Halo pulls away after a few minutes in triumph. "All good." He says happily, beaming up at the other. He kisses Bastian softly, a cute smile on his lips.
Bastian kissed him back happily, wrapping his arms around Halo and holding him close. “I’m so proud of you, angel,” he murmured against Halo’s lips
Halo shuts his eyes, tilting his head a little so Bastian had more access to his lips. He peeps one eye open. "How so love?" He asks curiously.

"It took me ages to figure out that I could enter people's minds. You figured out you could heal people within a few days of turning," Bastian mumbled
Halo chuckles and kisses Bastians cheek. "I suppose." He nuzzles the other.
Bastian smiled and hugged him close, nuzzling Halo's cheek as he did so
Halo giggles softly before kissing Bastian. He wraps his arms around Bastians neck as he sat on his lap.
Bastian hummed against Halo's lips, raising a brow as Halo slid into his lap. He rubbed at Halo's waist, enjoying himself greatly
