She successfully rolled away this time, laughing.
He laid on his stomach, head tilted up to look at her.
She kneeled down in front of him to press her lips to his, smiling.
He shut his eyes with delight, though he had to crane his neck to meet lips.
She pulled away, taking in every inch of her beautiful boyfriend with loving eyes.
His smile returned when she parted, dark eyes bright.
She lay down on the grass next to him, her pale-toned eyes glued to his deliciously dark ones.
"What are you dreaming to do once you can fly?"
She smiled wistfully. "I want to sit on the roof of a lighthouse and then fly over the sea so that I can feel its vastness. I want to fly a hundred meters on top of the peak of a mountain and then dive down, pulling up at the last moment. I want to touch the clouds, watch the sunset from above them. I want to see the world."
"Awe." He chuckled. "So whimsical. I like that."
"That's me., whimsical." She tilted her head so she could see him better. "I've been dreaming about it since I was six." She spread one wing, brushing aside some feathers so that Cruz could see the mangled, lumpy flesh beneath. "I was born with deformed wings that were too small for my body anyways."
(I have an idea for what to do with Macha and Sabine! They could hang out w/ Aiden, y'know, get to know each other better, then it would make Aiden's return more beautiful and tear-jerking. And yes, I'm confirming Aiden's return.)

The next morning Sabine had an idea. She rolled off her bed and on top of Macha, playfully pretending to crush her, even though Sabine was a featherweight. "Mach. Mach. Mach. I have an idea for what we can do today. Mach wake up."
Macha opened her eyes with a groan. "Whaaaaaaaaaaat?"
"Getupgetupgetup! It's already eight thirty!" Sabine said. "And we have to get moving if we're going to hike near Niagra Falls."

Macha sat straight up. "Huh?"

Sabine laughed. "Yeah. Aiden freed up his schedule to take us hiking and horseback riding at the Niagra Falls. He's bringing his fiance though, so just so you know."

Sabine laughed. "I wonder what they're up to today." She got off Macha, throwing open her closet. "M'kay." When she came out she started putting things in her backpack.
