He jerked his arm away in pain, and also a bit of frustration. "Wait, I need to make sure Zoe ends up okay."

Lillian's eyes widdened. "They're fighting?!" She pushes her way through Jordan into the door.

"I don't know. But they might. I don't know this 'Evan' guy." He pursed his lips, moving to the side to make room for Lillian.

"How about us two stay back to defend Zoe, if she needs. We'll keep our distance." She turns around to face the rest of them. "You guys go on. Go have fun!"

Zoe turned around. "Guys, it's fine," She faced Evan again. "I… don't even know if I could forgive you after the Connor Project! I hated Connor… but that was messed up,"

"That sounds good," he said, stepping back a bit and trying not to eavesdrop.

Lillian walks over. "What's the 'Connor Project'?"

"Wait, I've heard of that!" Jordan said, following her. "I can't remember who started it, but I heard it was actually a total hoax."

He rubbed his face. "I know, I know it was. I failed you, all of you, Jared and Alana and Heidi, and I'm sorry. I never meant to make it such a mess."

"A hoax? Well what did this Connor have to say about this? Why do you hate Connor?? Where is he??"

"No Connor, hes-" Jordan paused, pulling Lillian to the side. "Connor is dead."

"Oh… I'm so sorry… I'm really bad at these kind of things."

Zoe turned around. "It wasn't a hoax. Those were just Internet rumors! Can you all leave so that Evan and I can work our differences out peacefully?"
